We are going to find out if legally there is an issue....or not. I am so looking forward to following the trial and the outcome (the trial of the century as it were), whatever happens there will be those who will "claim" they were right all along.

True.

I personally don’t think that currently that law is on Epic side. This is more of a protest case on Epics side rather than if Apple is doing something against the current legislative framework.

For instance, nothing Facebook is doing is illegal per si in the current regulatory framework. Its simply rather questionable.

I personally believe that the current regulatory framework is insufficient to deal with deal with the digital thing. Its fine for the physical thing, but the digital thing for one has no shape, no boundaries, much like algorithms ... what is the shape of an algorithm? There are no physical boundaries between hardware, the OS, the Apps, the Digital Service along with whatever data travels between the pipes. Everything is an algorithm that someone created, invented, that its put in practice.

Last I checked, Epic too runs their own App Store and charges developers a commission to host and sell their apps.

I have absolutely zero sympathy for Epic, not least because Epic is clearly not doing any of this for the benefit of consumers or developers. I want Epic to lose, and I want them to never again be allowed on either iOS or android, for having the temerity of endangering the vitality and viability of the App Store for everyone else, just to earn more money for themselves.
I wonder "when and where" was the last time you checked. On what my concern is you could just be doing propaganda for Apple....

It is very telling that Scott is on Epic’s list instead of Apple....it is also telling that Apple is bringing in so many people to praise the security of this App Store model when the Mac is secure without it (aka browser downloads)
Apple cannot loose this, they'll do whatever it takes. Their goal is to profit from content and services sales for the next few decades. Pay attention to investors and the stock market. Still not fair for the content creators in my opinion. Judges should force to allow side load. If you paid for the device, you should be able to install the legal software of your choice.

Sideloading is ALLOWD AND POSSIBLE on iOS so they don't need to force it since its already possible for long time

Because it requires a Mac and the ability to sign the app unless you are referring to something like Alt Store which isn't real sideloading.
it does not require a Mac. only thing u need is a apple developer account and something like cydia impactor
