Personal opinion. Tech creators have lost all credibility. While I thoroughly enjoyed all three interviews talking about Apple intelligence, they continue to neglect some of the questions & concerns many of Apple users have been scratching their head. One being iPadOS

Not so much iJustine, as there are zero videos talking about it, but MKBHD has 7 videos since 2018, SuperSaf has 3+.

While every section of WWDC was absolute S-tier, [including Apple intelligence] the one category that receives an F is iPadOS. If your going to make videos every year talking about your disappointments and are blessed to be able to interview not only the CEO, but other top execs AND failing to even mention it.

if your going to complain about a product while having the ability make change, but fail to. Everything you say goes "In one ear, out the other."

This constant complaining about iPadOS is so tiresome. It’s not a Mac. It won’t be Mac. If you want a Mac buy a Mac.

iPad is a tablet, and it’s the best tablet in the world, none come even close to it ! iPad excels at what it does: being a tablet. It doesn’t matter how much power they cram into it, just accept that it’s a tablet and if you’re not happy about it nobody is forcing you to buy one.

The Magic Mouse moment in the MKBHD interview will go down in history with endless memes.

iJustine is one of the first in the game, and you could say she represents the average Apple user. Not all Apple users are nerds. Just in this forum :D.

So you get the Nerd vs iJustine thing going. I'm just glad for her that she's making a living.
From all of the others I would say I like her video style the most, she looks very natural and real when she reviews smth. MKBHD is totally overrated in comparison – most of his videos are product promotions (even if the products are not that good to promote in the first place).

One day he can promote a Windows laptop and tell everyone “this is my future daily driver” and the other day he reviews a Macbook and will tell “and you know – Apple is best in class, no one makes better stuff”. I understand he needs to earn money, but he at least should have some personal “sales manager values”. Also he has lots of clickbait, most of his video titles are clickbait

This is all nice in principle… but he should be talking to others in the industry. I have nothing against the people he gave interviews to, but there are some heavyweights out there that would ask the tough questions and I’m sure if prepped well, Tim could answer those questions well. That would be far more impressive and useful.

I don’t know, I like some of these people’s videos but they go far far too easy on Apple. And I’m sure we all know why that is… and here we are.
These so-cal “interviews” are the results of Apple’s marketing team efforts. They contacted these bloggers to cover specific target audience and send very specific message: “Apple Intelligence is the next big thing”. No one really asks the question “but is it indeed?” or “aren’t you just using someone’s AI engine and calling it yours?” because their task is to promote Apple’s AI, so they have agreed to ask some very specific questions to bring it all in positive light.

Also personal relations in media play a huge role because they know if they attempt “hard talk” they might never get any exclusive stuff, insights and devices from Apple ever again. Kinda comparable to a journalist loosing accreditation, because all the bloggers compete with each other for the very specific type of audience and for the YouTube algorithm.

Imagine a situation if tomorrow Apple sends iPhone 16 at the first pre-order day to every blogger except one they didn’t like – it would mean sufficient hit to channel stats, subscriber count and general popularity of the channel

Has iJustine ever criticized Apple? i always thought she was a biased fangirl.
I am not her fan or anything but tbh it is still better to be OG than fake, I just mean bias isn’t bad at all and everyone has it.

Honestly I have never seen any influencer to criticize Apple on substantial issues. There was zero coverage from them on photos iOS 17.5 issue that is still kinda shady, NONE of them tells that OLED displays are not that good for vision in the long term, as well as no one ever criticized Apple for specific design choices both in terms of hardware and software – everyone loves notches and islands. Except probably us, Macrumors forum stalkers

I suspect he was handcuffed on what he could ask about on camera.
I’m surprised no one said this sooner. I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple handed all of them a list of questions and said this is what you’ll ask.

Also, why does Tim look so uncomfortable in iJustine’s thumbnail?

Except anyone with any general intelligence or common sense knows that the bloggers they do court are not much more than yes people.

This has been going on for years. And I have much more respect for companies who have close media connections to those who are more critical, who do ask the hard questions. Because it means they are much more confident about their product. And Apple has no reason not to be confident about their products, they are amongst the best.

Yeah you may not get the hard-hitting questions about CSAM or the true environmental cost of non-upgradability/repairability, but not everyone cares about that anyway. …hell most of the people here don't even care about it.

I'd watch them but I don't wanna waste my time with 40+ minutes of softball questions
Does any of them ask them how they trained their image generation model? I want to know if I can use it without stealing from artists

Maybe now we can find all those WMDs

With Craig it's interesting because he sometimes shares interesting tidbits, but nobody really cares for Tim's corporate speak. He just gives robotic, rehearsed answers. It just makes executives appear super out of touch with the community (which they are) and plain weird. You can read word for word what Tim says as super polished copywriting on apple.com, it's not really an interview. It's a pre-written "frequently asked questions" section 😅 Marques did catch him off-guard with the Magic Mouse though which was kind of funny. I don't understand why everybody complains about the mouse, it's super comfortable once you get how it was meant to be held.

Too much a fan girl. If Tim pulled a stone out of the ground and called it Apple Rock, Justine would giggle and say it's the best rock she's ever seen and wonder how she has lived without it.
iRock... "we think you'll love it"

I think the idea is that they are known influencers (and not a bunch of up and comers), meaning Apple wants to influence their group of followers (many of them already being Apple fans) to generate awareness and excitement. It’s basically a way to reach their audience.

If Apple wanted to reach out a bunch of naysayers and cynics to trash their products, they would have invited a total different of people (maybe invite some folks from this board)

Naysayers and cynics, or honest reviews without lying to sell a product? Those three ‘influencers’ are nothing short of product hustlers. Marques I will say is the least biased of the bunch and he at least goes to say things that he doesn’t like as much. The others…it could be the worst product ever and they’d still praise it 100% to keep that money flowing. No integrity at all.
