Are you seriously going to say that Samsung isn't doing amazing business right now?

This is MacRumors. Why would anyone posting on MacRumors give a **** about what kind of business Samsung is doing? Except perhaps when comparing there success with products that are copies of Apple products, and products that are not copies of Apple products (like the biggest flop of the last year aka the Samsung Gear "watch").

They look like executives period.
Yup, your typical blank faced (no facial hair) drone looking middle aged Caucasian male, whose only purpose in life is to slave for the advancement of a company. At that level they are no longer husbands and fathers.

Are you seriously going to say that Samsung isn't doing amazing business right now? Apple and Samsung both dominate the smartphone profit pie. Also, that 50 million number is just a rumor for now. Not saying it won't be true but I'd hold off claiming it as a fact. Also the S4 was released in April and the latest iPhone's in September. Plus you are comparing one model versus the sales of the 5S/5C and 4S combined. Please don't compare apples to oranges.

I also never said or implied Apple wasn't being innovative. What I said originally was that they got conservative with the iPhone in recent years. This has not meant bad business per se but I and many others bought an S4 because we felt Samsung was taking more risks and bringing something more to the mobile market at that time compared to recent iPhone's. I personally felt like I was taking a risk as the S4 was my first Android phone but honestly I was much happier with it compared to my iPhone 5 which I used since it launched.

If you are going to tell me that the only reason Samsung made larger phones was being they needed a way to keep their device powered on then I don't even want to waste my time talking to you. It blows my mind that Samsung engineers are mindless to some of you but Apple, no no, Apple engineers are the upper crust of sophistication and intelligence. Samsung made the SIII and S4 the screen sizes they are because they determined that's what they wanted their flagship to be. Nothing more. If you don't agree I don't know what to tell you. But it amazes me how dismissive of Samsung you are.

That is exactly why Samsung makes larger phones. Samsung lacks the engineering ability to make a phone the size of the iPhone that competes. Their phones are ****.

I'm talking about the whole Tim Cook, what has he accomplish in his life, what he stands for and who he is. Its a great man. And he need a poker face.

Great must not mean the same thing to me as it does for you. Tim Cook is a CEO of a corporation .. not sure that entitles him to 'great' status.

I dont think this is the only reason. Its quite well established that apple was the market maker for this new "line" of touchscreen smartphones with the introduction of the original iPhone. Given that Samsung, Google and pretty much everyone else was playing catch up, business strategy really called for the type of approach that samsung took to be in a position in they are in. They had to do something to set themselves apart, not directly compete with apple (until they have caught up) and carve out niche markets where they could reign uncontested and have better profitability. Samsung DOESNT want to make a 4 inch phone that competes head on with the iPhone..thats a loosing battle even if samsung manages 50% of the pie. They want to capture the markets "AROUND" the 4" form factor such as the phablet markets, and market for phones between 4" and a full blown phablet and do what they have always done with feature phones and entry level smartphones. I think Samsung was fairly "dumb" to not begin sizable investment on an ios and android competitor at or around the time the original iphone was launched as they have lost major "control" over their smartphones given that its going to be nearly imposible for them to take their new OS venture and make it acceptable in a market dominated by giants (apple, google & Microsoft) especially companies that really know how to do software. Doing a deal with Google and having google mellow down its HANDSET ambitions is some breathing room..but its going to be tough to stop google from not venturing into phones in the long term.

I don't see Samsung overly worried about apple's plans for larger phones and perhaps 2 new handsets..I think the two companies have such a different market strategy that they can easily co-exist and find an equilibrium. Apple will never be an information technology company that makes dozens of handsets and tries to cover each and every niche market. Samsung would never rely on just one or two market segments for the bulk of its business. Apple can continue to dominate the higher end market by selling 100+ million phones per year and samsung would be quite happe to be no. 2 in that category. Its companies like Huawei and Xiomi in my opinion that threaten samsung's bottom line. They have access to the same OS..can source the same latest and greatest chips from Quallcomm..and can undercut samsung by a decent margin in the all important chinese smartphone market which is their backyard. These companies would be my greatest fear if i were samsung..

He's made a lot of money for himself, still not great in my book.
