Cook last appeared on Good Morning America in 2016, where he spoke about the launch of the AirPods, the iPhone 7, and the iPhone 7 Plus.

Ahead of his Good Morning America interview, Cook spent today in New York City, where he visited Apple employees at the Apple SoHo store.

And the whole time he will be dressed in very casual clothes making it seem like he is relatable to the common folks, this way we don't feel so bad about spending money on him.
How about showing us his cars, house(s), his list of waitstaff, limo drivers?
Nope, we get the shirt and jeans version.
This way he comes across as some Best Buy worker.
SJ did the same thing....they all do.
Later Microsoft picked up on it, Google is now doing it too, so is Samsung.

Because he thinks he's a rock star.
Sorry what?

Steve Jobs was a rock star, and behaved accordingly (demanding to be put in magazine covers, etc)
Tim Cook in comparison is a much humbler guy. It's just the media salivating over the trillion dollar company. And of course, normal people are not watching Apple keynote live. News like these is where they find out about new things.

He just seems like he comes across as someone who thinks he is a big deal. And he is a big deal, I just don't get any humbleness from him personally.

I mean just the way he acts during keynotes - he comes across as "I'm the big man on campus, you are all here to hear from me." When in reality from my perspective, he doesn't have anywhere near the charisma or cult of personality as even Eddy Cue does.

Steve Jobs catapulted Apple from the brink of death to where it was in 2011 - and did the same with Pixar. Tim has shepherded Apple into a period of almost unfathomable growth, so he is a big deal. I guess I just question his motives. I never felt like Steve was all about profit and shareholders, while to me we are all just items on the ledger for Cook. Cook has "sold out" so to speak. At least that's how I feel. His qualifications as a CEO are not in question for me - I just question his genuineness I suppose.

In most, if not all of these cases, the CEO is a self made man who started life no different than anyone else. Steve grew up middle class, same as Tim Cook. They worked hard and made it, same as anyone else can.

He was asked and was gracious enough to do it.

When you’re the CEO of the biggest company in the world that is also a consumer electronics company, you do things like this.

Stop hating so much. He’s a brilliant guy and a great CEO.

Yes you are absolutely right. I should step away from these types of stories. I am quickly drawn to the negative too easily. Same reason why I deleted my Facebook earlier this year. Thank you for nudging me.
