full macos mode when iphone gets connected to a bigger screen, that would be very nice. Not iPad-style; full Mac OS. A Cinema Display with a slot for an iPhone Pro to drive it makes huge sense. Like the Duos with their docks that worked so very well. The Duos put VRAM, mass storage and i/o in the dock.
you're probably correct, and that's very sad. that means money and user restriction dictate what the environment becomes. where idealy it should rather be OS features and ease of use .. all for the user. not for the money. i think that even in the best possible route-scenario, it would take a decade at minimum for someone to smell the coffee and get a pulse at apple. if it ever happens..I mean, if you want to run a completely separate MacOS VM on your iPhone it’s certainly powerful enough to do that now, and this will probably also happen in the future, but I think most people will want access to the exact same apps and data they have on their phone when docked, and the same(ish) UI. And what I think Apple will never do is open up iOS sandboxing and OS file system access to third parties to the same extent that MacOS does so you’ll never have MacOS running directly on your phone (as opposed to a VM), although I’m sure iPad-style multitasking will grow closer and closer UI and feature-wise.
However, the upgrades aren’t incremental for people who upgrade every three or four years.“So much left we can do” and proceed to make every generation the most incremental upgrade
How does a 2nm chip make science fiction reality?TSMC-made 2nm chip in 2026 is a BIG deal. Android has to wait till 2027, or when Samsung has refined, improved the yield of its 2nm Exynos chip.
Many things we take for granted today would be considered science fiction not too long ago.
There’s so much we can do… but we ain’t doing this.Make some smaller ones again please!
I wonder what they’d have to do for people to be satisfied for once.“So much left we can do” and proceed to make every generation the most incremental upgrade
With Apples vast financial, design and engineering expertise, they could easily create a compact highly useful iPhone.Make some smaller ones again please!
As you can see from these forums, there's nothing Apple could do that would make people happy. For every action Apple can take, there will be people to whinge loudly about it.I wonder what they’d have to do for people to be satisfied for once.
There are hardly any real game-changers in today’s tech market.
same for me. i prefer smaller form factor. i currently have an iphone 12 mini. size is nice.
If by soon you mean for several more years, than maybe. Apple is secretive you never know.Thank you Tim Cook. You’ve do great work. See you soon John Ternus. Let’s make some awesome devices.
To be fair, a Mini would be “there so little we can do”. 😁There’s so much we can do… but we ain’t doing this.
You must never use Siri ehh?So because Apple doesn’t havens privacy screen they are light years behind? That’s an interesting premise and conclusion.
According to the most recent earnings call , you are correct. Apples customers “eat it up”.
I use it, and for what I use it for it’s fine. But to me Siri isn’t the defining feature “or failure” of Apple. You must never use Siri ehh?
Yeah. I have Siri hook into chat gpt and it’s pretty good at looking up info now. Much better than the “this is what I found on the web” days.I use it, and for what I use it for it’s fine. But to me Siri isn’t the defining feature “or failure” of Apple.

So then you're not technically using Siri.....and if you don't believe Siri is and was a failure, then nobody can help you....you're just trying to justify all you've spent on the Apple ecosystem which is fine.I use it, and for what I use it for it’s fine. What a disingenuous post. I’m the customer, I’m technically using Siri. I certainly don’t need your help. And on a forum such as this, posters can take it or leave it. 😉So then you're not technically using Siri.....and if you don't believe Siri is and was a failure, then nobody can help you....you're just trying to justify all you've spent on the Apple ecosystem which is fine.
