What's so funny? Haven't you heard of gaussian blur? There isn't a single smartphone with "portrait mode" that doesn't use it.
It's funny because it explains the poor results. Makes me appreciate my Canon SLR and all my lenses.

The iPhone 7 has a 4mm lens, and a tiny 1/3" sensor. Why does the bokeh look so weird? Isn't the iPhone supposed to have like f/1.8 aperture or something?
It would be great if you would drop the snark and just answer a question so I'll do it for you. Wired earbuds that come with the phone do not require an adapter. I've never had a battery issue and neither do most. Siri is flawed along with all voice assistants so I wish they were all as useful as they appear to be in commercials.

No snark here, and your question was quite vague so answering your own question only reinforces what YOU want to hear and believe...nothing more. I have my opinion which I am entitled to and which I am clearly not alone in. You too are entitled to your own opinion but that does not make me have to agree with you. I'm sorry if it irks you but it's only an opinion about an iPhone's flaws with regard to inconveniences, battery handicaps and Siri dysfunction. Nothing personal... Really.![]()
I'm on the completely other side of the coin and amazed by the results. Of course they're not perfect but artificial blur is fine in and of itself. I use it all the time in Photoshop and fool most viewers into thinking I shot with a fast lens. But considering that the phone is automating this process thousands of times faster than the best graphic artist could, I'll take the results I get when I don't have an expensive camera handy. It's funny because it explains the poor results. Makes me appreciate my Canon SLR and all my lenses.
Ever stop to wonder why all that storage is free? Hint: It isn't because Google is particularly generous.
Apple doesn't make their money on ad revenue. Obviously data has to go somewhere, but comparing Apple's intentions with Google's is just silly. They have two very different business plans.I know they're collecting all my stuff, but I've got a secret to tell you. Remember all those huge datacenters Apple built? Well they aren't for running CAD programs designing Apple products....

Ah, so nothing I say matters to you since you've set it up as a conspiracy now. Nice move.Yeah, Google tells you what they're doing, Apple just does it. Again, why such big datacenters? Not to store .mac pages documents....

Apple's stance on privacy makes it pretty clear what their intentions are. Do you honestly think they would directly lie to the public? The fact that you're calling it .mac documents tells me you honestly have no idea what you're talking about. Do you have any clue how much space is required for iCloud sync, Photo Library, iOS backups, etc? Yeah, the world's largest phone manufacturer is going to need a lot of space. They're currently renting it from Amazon, which is why they're building their own. The really hilarious thing though is that your logic is "I use Google because at least I know I'm getting screwed".
It's pretty clear you've intentionally got your head in the sand on this one, so I'm done here. What you believe Apple does and doesn't do really has no effect on my life, so enjoy whatever you want.
Seriously? You're the one completely assuming Apple's intentions here. I'm literally just repeating what both companies have said. Apple has made their privacy concerns crystal clear while Google has made their ad revenue crystal clear. I guess the main difference, however, is that I'm making my point without being a sarcastic wank.Interesting, you seem to know everything about Apple and Google.

State facts, not insults. Then maybe people will be willing to listen to you.
