Tim Cook Steps Down as Apple CEO Tomorrow

Absolutely; they should be. At the same time, Tim's been ultimately responsible for creating, developing or maintaining the structure and processes which allowed those things to happen. Which, in a huge, huge company, is harder than it sounds.
But yes, the actual creators absolutely deserve thanks (or, sometimes, criticism).
Will we get some documentary autobiography about Tim Cook? Always fascinating for topics like this

One of Steve Job’s better decisions hiring Tim Cook. While Steve Job’s had a very impressive skill sets, Tim Cook had the skills that made the two a very strong capable Management team. Tim Cook challenge was not finding a replacement for Steve Jobs skill sets. Unfortunately was not going to happen. Overall given the challenges Tim Cook did a very good job as Apple a very successful company.

I totally lost my love for Apple during Crook.
Not sure it will come back - I don’t really care at the moment either.
Actually think I will pass the keynotes for some more time - nothing personal against next CEO.
Apple is just not any inspiration for me - I have better things to do.

The shareholders will ardently express their gratitude to Tim Cook. The end-users are the ones who got shafted along the way, especially today.
The shareholders will only celebrate as long as the buyers are willing to pay the usage fees.
Timmy was a lovely bean counter, there is no doubt here. But he was the opposite of visionary (the irony isn’t forgotten on the “Vision Pro”).

That name was provided by a high ranking leader of a country. We’ll have to wait to see if that same ruler gives Ternus the same or a different name.
Tim is not stepping down! He’s becoming Executive Chairman, meaning he’ll still be involved in Apple’s strategy and can influence major decisions. John Ternus will become CEO, while Arthur Levinson moves from Chairman to Independent Director ( no more involved in strategy but more into stakeholders voice ) So the main change is Tim becoming more influential.

How many of Apple's competitors who change places with them if in a second if given the opportunity?
He was the CEO of a publicly traded company, not sure what people expected. BTW, part of a CEO's job/responsibilities is to be a bean counter.

It's interesting how so many people conveniently forget/ignore the previous CEO's 20 or so Apple product flops.

Maybe I’m wrong but aren’t the buyers opening up their wallets?
An opposite of a visionary doesnt release products such as:
- larger iPhones, Apple Pay, Apple silicon, Face ID, wearables, ATV+ wtc
An opposite of a visionary also doesn’t take a company worth X and make it worth 10X.

I buy many products without being very interested in the company - nothing strange with that.
I dont love everything he did but he did oversee a time of tremendous growth and a few amazing new products. And as the only person who loves the AVP....thanks Tim.
