IMHO: Nobody needs a 30m water proof Apple watch. 5m is good enough that if accidentally dropped in a swimming pool is recoverable and working. I would never go swimming an Apple watch but would want it survive an accident.I would not read to much what he tells employees at the store. Question will be how the watch is specified. I hope that they can improve the water resistance to at least 30m.
I want to wear my clothes/glasses/phone all day and don't want to have to remember specific situations where I have to them off.I think, it's all about convenience. I want to wear my Apple Watch all day and don't want to remember specific situations where I have to take it off.
i didn't realize this was such a big feature for so many people.
What are you aiming to do on your watch that can't wait the five or ten minutes it takes to actually shower?

Hey, my glasses are waterproof and I still take them off when I take a shower, I even take them off when I sleep.

Water Resistant 3 ATM or 30 m Suitable for everyday use. Splash/rain resistant. NOT suitable for showering, bathing, swimming, snorkelling, water related work and fishing. NOT suitable for diving.
You can always buy two Apple watches, one you were at night and one you wear during the day.still useless until I can get either 30min charging time or at least 48hr battery life. I use my watch as an alarm for its vibration. I can't give that up to leave it charging all night.

Well for me personally, I like to listen to music/podcasts during my shower, so it would be nice to be able to control that. Also, check the time. Those are the main things that stick out to me.
That being said, if the Watch has a quick charge capability (say an hour or so. The battery will be pretty small), then I might prefer to charge during that time to allow myself to sleep with my watch. That would allow for sleep tracking and the tap to wake feature. Not to mention a mini nightlight if I need to get up in the middle of the night
Control music while in the shower?
gaining steam[/url] in rumors lately, Cook stated that a European launch for the contactless payment service will come "before the end of the year."
I can't see practical use for wearing clothing in the shower.
I can see a practical use for wearing the Apple watch in the shower / bath.
there's a difference. Just unfortunate you can't see it.
As for glasses, I know a few people who have no choice but to wear theirs in the shower, just so they can see!
Well, some people wear their bathing trunks in the showers of public swimming pools (even though they are not supposed to). But mainly I was joking, as conceptually for me taking a shower or bath means taking everything off. I have a watch that is waterproof until 30 m of depth and I nevertheless take it off during the shower or in swimming pools.
You don't need to see anything when taking a shower, you can easily take a shower in complete darkness, it is not as if there are great distances to cover, everything (shower head, faucet, soap, towel) is essentially within reaching distance.
I dunno, I'd like to take it off and maybe clean my myself? Maybe that's me?
I agree on both counts; not saying you were "hating" (I dislike that expression now).
I'm just saying that 4h of active time (looking at the screen), will actually get you through the day because 99% of people don't spend that much time doing that.

I agree. People moaning about battery life when nothing very concrete has been announced is madness.
I've said this before and been shot down for it: if the Watch lasts 15 hours of mixed use, and you put it on at 6am, it won't run out of power until 9pm.
To think the Apple Watch will be able to compete with a Rolex that lasts 50 years on one battery is unreasonable... Yet people still scoff at a watch you charge every day.

This is the best response ive seen to the battery life issue.
You don't like to read your messages in the shower like everyone else?![]()

You'd need bluetooth speakers in your shower (or near) to do that (or shower proof headphone ;-)
Awesome thought. Now I can install a great sorround system in the bathroom and control music from the watch and sing to full lunges.
they want to play angry birds in the shower

What watch do you currently use for a vibrating alarm?
I use the fitbit flex. It's a couple years old, and it's a great alarm system. No annoying alarm sound that wakes anyone else up, just a vibration on the wrist. That is why I want the Apple Watch to at least hold a charge throughout the night (I think it will). The flex also tracks sleep, which I don't use very often, but find informative every once in a while.
