Apple PR guy: "Hey Tim, how about an interview with Justine?"
Tim: "How much is she going to butter us up?"
Apple PR guy: "Yes."
Tim: "How much is she going to butter us up?"
Apple PR guy: "Yes."
Apple has become much too rich for any sort of accountability.Wonder if there will be someone asking Tim about the recent privacy debacle. I'm guessing none.
She isnt a journalist or a reviewer for that matter. She is an advertiser.Hard hitting journalism is not her brand. Gushing over Apple products is what she does and she does it very well. That said, this "interview" was nothing more than an extension of the keynote. Pure Apple marketing.
I no longer carry a quote high-end camera. What it actually comes down too, the audience. The vast majority of the audience, more than good enough quality. The producer, meet the audience at an acceptable quality with a cost, convenience benefit. Wow, the new iPhones deliver big time. All about the audience.LOL! Pathetic. "on par with professional high-end video equipment" - yes, with exactly the same messed-up focused/defocused areas like with any other software-only fake bokeh like that of the Portrait mode. Not any sane pro videographer would use an iPhone instead of some decent, large-sensor dedicated camera with proper workflow because they do NOT exhibit anything like this as they're hardware-only (real shooting-time focusing) and not software-only fake bokeh / blurring.
I've posted some examples of this from Apple's own demo video to https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/iphone-13-pro-cinematic-mode-being-pro-grade-bad-joke.2310995/
It's not just his hands. Look at his arms, face, the whole body, his shirt (no that is not wind). Someone else recently made a post saying he looks sick. I didn't watch the keynote yesterday, but when this video started the first thing I noticed is the voice. He doesn't sound good, there's some minor fluctuation in his voice, it sounds off.
I hope he's ok, but I have seen exactly this before (Parkinson).
Retirement is one thing. He's 60 now, so that's reasonable. Health is something different. In the video something is off, I still hope he's ok. A former colleague of mine was diagnosed with Parkinson. It was hard to watch him change. He retired around 60 as well because of it. That was a couple of years ago, he's still somewhat "ok". Another former colleague retired at 65 and died two years later... brain aneurysm. No matter what Tim does, he should be able to enjoy his retirement (as should everyone).I thought I read an article a while back discussing rumors of him retiring after they release VR. Maybe another few years left and off to retirement?
Amen. I just don't get it... she's not particularly insightful, she's ditsy, she basically has nothing to say that others haven't said better and yet this is the person they get to talk to Tim?To each their own of course, but I really can't stand watching iJustine :/
Preach. She's cringeworthy.Wouldn't be surprised if iJ was a creation of Apple or at least bankrolled. Noone can get that over excited over often bland products and there is no bite or criticism, even when warranted. Not a fan.

That's a stretch.iJustine is a legend idc if she’s simping

I like iJustine because of her enthusiasm but I don’t think she’s overly professional. I hate to be the one to say it, but her popularity owes a lot to her looks.Because she is clearly paid and/or fake.
It's where it's supposed to be. In the pipeline for release later. The interview is about yesterdays event.Nobody cares. Why not ask him where the 16" ARM based MBP is?
Nah, it's because the interviewers are scared and are cowards. They know if they don't ask the easy PR-approved questions then their access will be revoked. This is why it's all BS.It's where it's supposed to be. In the pipeline for release later. The interview is about yesterdays event.
Call it BS if you will, this is how the industry works. It has nothing to do with interviewers being scared. They're invited to these events (online now due to Covid) and are allowed to ask questions about the event that just happened, nothing else. It doesn't matter where you go, media event, product release, movie premiere, TV show, you name it. It's all the same. If you go off book, it's the last time you're invited. If you think that's why they're scared or cowards think again, they're making a living out of it. So jeopardizing your own career is not a smart idea.Nah, it's because the interviewers are scared and are cowards.
