Quite simply, I don't want to align myself with any brand that actively cooperates with this racist, sexist, xenophobic bigot.

It's fine to passively get by under this administration, business is business. But don't entertain this moron. I hope Elon Musk gives him the middle finger.

The only reason Tim Cook is attending is to hear the proposals Trump has for supposed tax cuts, regulation cuts and any other incentives to move at least "some" of their production to the US.

Either way, anticipate higher prices to result from such a move whatever the actual cost to Apple.

Repatriating those assets would be wonderful for Apple and for the country.

Except think tanks on the left and right (including the Heritage Foundation!) agree that repatriation won't benefit the country at all. It just lets companies like Apple hold that money hostage given the precedent, has shown no job creation benefit in the past, led to no new initiatives that weren't already planned, and also would lead Apple to focus on making more money overseas vs at home -- think small iterative iPhone and iPad updates prioritized over Macs and AirPorts, given how much money there still is to be made overseas on iPhones and how little there is to be made on Macs and peripherals outside the US. It sounds good, but a deeper look and past evidence shows otherwise.

Wow. You're really sipping that mainstream media kool aid.

This smells like crony capitalism. Hopefully it's not. I'm all for a corporate tax reform to keep the U.S. globally competitive as long as it doesn't unfairly benefit the giants. A special deal with Apple is a no-no.

This has got to be both humbling and humiliating for all these CEOs who campaigned so heavily against him. And I love it.
I generally don't like Trump, but it was funny to see so many arrogant people fall, especially Clinton and her fans. The most experienced U.S. politician loses to a yahoo. The South Park team has to scrap an episode about Clinton's victory. And my "political expert" friends are going back on their promises to move to Canada.

It seems to me that Trump is actually to trying to make an effort. If he didn't give a damn, you wouldn't be holding this summit, and he's not even in-office yet. It says more about the petty CEOs who won't work with the guy with open mind just because they have different views.
I'd be really surprised if he didn't care about trade issues. Like, if he didn't, I'd really wonder why he ran for president in the first place. He probably doesn't care about social issues, though. And business people are used to maximizing profit. Tim Cook will gladly cooperate.

I like that Trump is going to work. He could have just took a vacation and rested from his campaign. I am really impressed with Trump. Very refreshing compared to past presidents. He has a good work ethic and wants to do the right thing. He also has been known to change his mind on things if people are very upset with his decisions. He seems to listen at least. The tech companies may be able to provide the guidance he needs to help him implement positive changes.

Tim Cook should step down. It's time to Make Apple Great Again.
I don't think it's his fault alone. Apple's stuff doesn't "Just Work" anymore. Like, my laptop simply doesn't work right, shuts off randomly. My iPhone runs an increasingly crappy interface. Maybe Apple started hiring a lot of "B player" engineers, as Steve Jobs called them.

I just don't get this argument by Trump sycophants. Objective evidence (remember that old thing) supports mainstream journalism; they cannot lie to you because they are regulated and you can fact check.

Unlike the fake news that pops on your "non main stream media" sites, which is regularly debunked and not believed by anybody with a modicum of intelligence.

But as soon as you brought up "main stream media", I knew you were looking to support your views with whatever "news" you could.

Good luck with your economy under Trump. He's already started lying to you. But you more than deserve to be deceived if you fell for the ********* he fed you.

Democrat loving Cook to meet Trump. This proves that Trump wants the best minds and most influential people to make America great again. Even those who hate Trump with a passion. Trump is above that petty ********.

I just wish the radical extremist democrats would do the same. Accept reality. Accept the fact that Trump is making America great again. It is slowly happening right now.

NOTE WELL: I said radical extremist democrats. Not all democrats. People need to learn the difference between the two.

Yes, because one biased source of information "fact checking" another biased source of information will certainly yield a perfectly honest bunch of mainstream journalists. Are you actually implying that mainstream media in the US is truthful?
