Oi, bit of a Freudian slip?
He must be desparately looking for a redesigned Man Mini in Holland, Ireland, .... wherever around the globe
Apple runs a business that is owned by shareholders. Do you think it’s wrong for any company to maximize tax advantages while also following every US and foreign tax law to the letter?
Why should they pay more tax than they have to? Apple is already the largest taxpayer in he world.
Welcome to business.
Who and what specifically are you talking about? Cook has called for higher taxes on personal income? Doubt it.I don’t think it is wrong to do that. I do think it is wrong when so many of the executives and directors express political views about how we need high domestic taxes to support their s
social welfare and social justice programs. I call that hypocritical.
Is that the only job it has to do? Just make profits and take care of the investors? It's one of the largest company. It should use it's power to do something good for humanity, civilization. You can always make money, the right way or the wrong way. I would rather prefer Apple to to make 10B every year in the right way to making 200B using all wrong ways.Apple runs a business that is owned by shareholders. They're based in Ireland because of the unparalleled innovation ecosystem and greatly qualified human resources there.
Not because of tax deals.

You just validated my pointWhat exactly do you do for humanity besides suck up air and food? With so many problems in the world, here you are just sitting on your ass, pointing fingers at others.
People who tell others how to spend their money and utilize their success, should proceed directly to the hardware store and sit on the gardening implement of their choice.
Well i suppose stashing away that $200 billion is keeping inflation slightly lower. You just validated my pointAs a single human individual, we are too powerless do anything. But what about a company that has stashed 200B? Shouldn't it use its power and flex muscles to bring betterment to the world? Is that wrong to expect?
Yep. Who are Apple trying to kid here? They have some staff in Ireland, but not that many, and the massive tax dodge the Irish government gave them effectively made those employees free.
And all the decision making staff were placed in London...
That is their number 1 job, yes.Is that the only job it has to do? Just make profits and take care of the investors? It's one of the largest company. Unlikely, given the liberalisation of Ireland and an openly gay Prime Minister. In related news, Tim Cook renounces homosexuality following visit with Apple QA Team in Cork.
As long as you pay the corresponding Irish tax rate on that money and don’t transfer it to the Netherlands, back to Ireland and at last to some fictional head office that isn’t physically located anywhere in the world, so you could avoid paying taxes at all on practically everything of it, I wouldn’t call it laundering either. If the wholesale cost of every Apple product purchased in physical stores throughout Europe, Africa and MiddleEast, PLUS the retail cost of every product purchased online in the same region, is booked in Ireland as Apple's distribution center, how is that laundering? It's called single market.
Launder? 6000 employees in Ireland are more than they have in most European, African and MiddleEastern countries (if not all of those countries, except perhaps UK).
How is it laundering if the Ireland operation is the wholesaler for the whole region? For Apple's own retail stores and third-party suppliers like the Media Mart chain?
Do you have a source for that? I am unable to find any reports that detail the actual amounts paid WW by Apple. You're incorrect in saying they are the lowest as a percentage of income. Apple isn't even close. They are generally around 25%, actually among the highest. You actually have no clue what you're talking about.

€119bn *global* sales is run through Eire where they have 6000 staff. That is moral if not legal money laundering.
PS I founded, own and run a private stock-based limited liability company without the capital to play such games - so unfortunately I have to pay all my taxes (company, employee, wage and sales), but at least it goes back society rather than to the bank... But I'm not jetting around on some moral crusade either.

Why? He’s probably there for multiple reasons, including this.Fake News. Might as well tell us the real reason you're there little buddy.
And their brainwashing PR is even more impressive, apparently. That is their number 1 job, yes.
Apple is one of the most responsible companies on earth. They run on renewable energy. Their products are recyclable. They stand up for privacy and human rights.
What do you want?
They don't make their money "in all the wrong ways."
I'm starting to think you have no clue what you're talking about.
ps. Oh yeah, and not having any retail stores in the Republic of Ireland but have their distribution warehouses/offices/online stores based there, just seems a bit 'unusual'. There's 4 in Scotland (similar population size to EIRE) and even 1 in Northern Ireland.
They run on renewable energy
Yeah, everything is a conspiracy/lie.Lol. 100% renewable. Sure.
Sure. Nothing like citing their own press release for an unbiased look at their stellar efforts to thwart climate change.Yeah, everything is a conspiracy/lie.
Apple now globally powered by 100 percent renewable energy
