I would fix the "kindergarten" three colored dots. I would make them SQUARE and copy EXACTLY how Windows 11 did it. They nailed it. Then, I would put backlighting in their effing insanely expensive keyboard. I would eliminate the so called Magic Mouse from inventory immediately. That thing is the devil.

I would give Pro Motion 120hz on everything. I would get cracking on Micro LED screens. No OLED.

And there would be five full time employees to scan MacRumors constantly so they could implement all of our supremely excellent ideas sooner :)

All good suggestions. I would reinstitute quality control and make it a priority, maybe the priority, for system upgrades and software. Be done with buggy, unfinished software.

1: Remove Apple Intelligence and make it actually good and useful instead of the 1 millionth AI image generator on the iPhone (so basically just make more useful features like the notification summaries)
2: Make Mac gaming actually good by making the base chips actually good for gaming, actually investing in developers, and making a peace deal with Epic Games to bring Fortnite back to Apple devices and making the Apple Tax not that harsh for games by for example cutting it in half for purchases from new players
3: Make Apple events live again and return to the marketing they were doing before Jobs's death. I'd kill for a revival of the Mac vs PC campaign or actually having comedy in Apple events

I might sound crazy with these but I am the same person who doesn't experience all the bugs in new Apple device updates that people are talking about like the plague so.... 🤷‍♀️

1. Fill the hole in the middle of Apple Park
2. Make a new iPhone out of white plastic that scratches up and goes yellow after 6 months to drive sales.
3. Replace Friday Night Baseball on Apple TV with Cheese Rolling live from Gloucester.

ha I like these posts but 99.9% of us would fail as we simply don't have the work ethic. I think the work hours alone and back to back meetings would kill most of us off after a week.

He earned $74 million last year, according to a google search.

I would tell everyone I'm super busy and go home until either (a) I was fired or (b) 6 months had passed. Then Tim can have his job back.

Get rid of the big waste of money of having glass Apple Stores, and also of the dumb and dry commercials all over YouTube. Just built Macs with RAM, SSDs, and other components that can be replaced by the buyer.

1. Huge overhaul of the OS release cycle. We don't need an update every year, but spending an entire year on bug fixes to build a solid upgrade is well worth the wait. Apple Intelligence? It's sucking up 6+ GB of space on my phone, and I've used the image cleanup feature. I'm still searching for value beyond the mere convenience of using an industry buzzword.
2. iOS interface update - Liquid glass, new colors, tints, clear icons, whatever. Even with the widgets, the square interface is outdated and in need of a radical visual overhaul.
3. Fix the hardware lineup and naming conventions. SE, AIR, Pro, Max, Ultra, Mini, How about a WTF model? Vision Pro? There isn't a lesser spec model, so what makes it a pro anything?

Figure out a way to keep old software available in the App Stores for us stick-in-the-muds who still want to run older versions of Apple OSes....

Resurrect Freeverse as a way to make interesting non-arcade games and gadgets great againn.

iPhone has so much business calculus behind it that I won't touch it for a while. It can stay its current course until I have a firm grasp on it and the decisions made for it. Until then;

To celebrate 10 years of AirPods, we're introducing a special Space Black color. This will be available in all varieties that come with ANC capability for a limited time. While we're here we should also work on a real upgrade for AP Max - better ANC, better connectivity, lossless over wireless. I wonder if we could leverage UWB for that.

I also want to buy Kagi and make it the premier search engine for Apple products. Kick Google to the curb. While I'm at it I should probably also scoop up Anthropic so I can do the same to OpenAI. If I can't buy it in cash for whatever reason I should pull the Microsoft strategy and buy half of it.

Oh, and introduce a cell option for MacBooks.

I wouldn’t make any major changes. I’d let things move forward according to the current plans. Then, after receiving my first paycheck (which would be in the millions), I’d resign immediately and just enjoy life.

Well okay, before leaving I would shut down all development related to foldable iPhone models for good, making it impossible to ever restart it.

I would keep things the way it is for 6 months to see what works and what doesn't. I've witness way too many instances where a new owner/boss comes in, changes everything just to see the entire operation implode within 6 months.

Sharpen and repair your tools before you start working. During that time, I would identify who's the superstar worker and who's the toxic worker. Fire all the toxic workers. I would eliminate all the nepo hires while I'm at it. "Oh, so you're uncle is the CFO? Guess what? I out rank him. You're fired!"🤗

I would allow the rock star workers half the work week to work on personal projects. This is where the next great product will come from. A lot of the great advances in computer science during the early days was the result of one or two geniuses: Unix, C, Apple Computers and so on. They will be my Apple's Skunk Works.

Once everything has settled down, I'd start plugging the leaks. I would give each Department a slightly different version of specs on a new product. Once I identify the department that's the source of the leak, again with the slightly different version until I identify the leaker. I'd bring the full weight of Apple's legal department on their (_!_).😈😈😈

Sounds good!

Easy (but more than 3) :
1) all Macbook / Macbook Pro's getting GSM slot /5G modem - you just put card there and it works ;) and touch screens (just like an ipad with keyboard :))
2) rugged / military strength - small ipad pro with 8"/9" screen and the same cameras as iphone 17 pro max, with 10000 mAh battery - and generally ALL ipdas pro gets the same iphone cameras :)
3) iphone 18 pro with "dual cell/slot" 6000-7000 Si/Ca mAh battery :) , pro max with 8000-9000 mAh
4) return of the Jack connector with quad HIFI DAC like in LG V60 :)
5) return of this local station/brick (AirPort Time Capsule) that looks like a small brick that was a dedicated router / backup brick designed to store your laptop/iphone backups/photos/music/movies etc etc instead of using icloud - and it would be expandable and it would have at least 5 nvme connectors for nvme sdd's to allow raid5/raid6/raid-Z volumes ...
6) I would also add one option to all ipads/iphones : in addition to airplane mode, there is also a "sitting in a trench during war" mode - which means a complete blackout of the device and turning off everything - without refresh signals, etc., so that you can sit in a trench, read a book and be sure that no GSM/Bluetooth guided missile will fall on your head (to be clear - Samsung makes a special version of phones for the military, which not only has such functionalities but also software compatibility with military software/hardware, etc.
7) Another functionality for all iPhones/iPads, there's a special mode—let's call it "Graphene OS"—where, firstly, you can create multiple profiles that you can switch between, each with its own IMEI, etc., secondly, everything is encrypted, and thirdly, there's no tracking whatsoever (generally, if you know what Graphene OS looks like, it has the exact same functionality on the iOS side :)).
8) Why on earth there is an "ask app not to track activity in third party apps" option in iOS? It's just a gentle suggestion, not a strict barrier? I would definitely implement a hard privacy mode in iOS—where no app has access to track your activity in other apps at all
9) all ipads pro / iphones pro get 2TB variant, pro max with 16GB memory and 4TB storage option (and all storage would be much cheaper as well)
10) also when you connect iphone/ipad by USB-C to a computer, it shows not only photos subdirectory, but also Music and Movies directories - and you can "load" music to ipad/iphone, just by copying mp3 to a /Music filesystem (just like it is done in Android) and after disconnecting a cable iphone/ipad scans music / movies etc and adds the files automatically to Apple Music/etc without the need to use iTunes or any other stupid software that requires synchronization / additional activities
11) in iphone pro, telephoto (5x-8x) gets super macro capability to make close-up shots of all the bees/butterflies/birds etc etc without any need to get close to the subject

what do you think ?
