that's an interesting take, I am warming to it. My view would be that old people are well, too old (and a lot of them are too depressed too sadly) to talk back, organize etc, and no one is out to make money out of promoting their gay-ness, jewish-ness, american-ness, whatever-ness and their interests as a group. .
Plus, they usually have the cash, so what do they care? ;)

But from a marketing standpoint, this article is about TWC, not the iPad exactly. I'm therefore a little surprised at the obvious demographic limitation presented. If it were selling iPads, it would make more sense.

so you are saying kenny was up for a good rogering now and then? :D I did not know that. (couldn't resist the lame pun, exactly because it is so lame). maybe that's why he was getting hang up about lucille's husband and their kids instead of taking here to the next motel and copulating her brains out.

That "Rodgering" pun is how he got his stage name. It has been hidden in clear view his whole career.

I think a testament of the cultural development of society is how well they care and integrate animal, children, and elders and anyone in need in their societies. Sadly I think old people take the short stick in that too.

To me, the older crowd is the crowd that either think they lost in the game of life or are celebrating their wins. I was very fortunate to do volunteer work at nursing homes when school age. There were three types of crowds in those homes.

First was the full timer that had a passion for care giving and were an unlimited fountain of love. Second was the despicable predators that sometimes had bets on when someone would die; a few of these predators said many things were "lost" when they moved rooms. Third, my crowd, was those looking for real life experiences and stories from those who lived life and had unbiaed advise without any agendas.

The one common theme I heard from a lot of retirees was regret for not trying. Self shame they accepted fear and let themselves be pushed around by others only to end up alone and sometimes nearly broke. That stuck with me. I'm not elderly nor am I just out of college.

My road tread has had its ups and downs but no real regrets except a few missed opportunities that traded off well for other ventures. Also old enough to know a few of my ex-girlfriends regretting breaking up with me after I made it. A bit of satisfaction there. I plan to be that old fart with a devil may care look in his eye still charming and turning on the young girls while upsetting the older women around me. ;)
