It’s even worse on the repair side because of no availability and have to wait for weeks for a replacement, just stick to basic models.
Disagree? Why?
FIRST!!!😬
Throwaway at the end. Outdated in 1 year, fully obsolete in 4-5 years. At the end all these watches are disposable. People buy traditional watches with premium materials because they're meant to last. An Apple Watch is a disposable device.Throwaway? People are still rocking Series 3s.
Some models are still available for in-store pickup. My guess, like some of the other posters’, is that the Series 7 has a different physical design, so they are just selling out what they have and will release the updated models next month.Apple Watch Hermès is also gone.
I'm wondering the same thing.I wonder if this is going to get discontinued.
I didn't, but I think I would now. Why?I dunno why anyone buys a premium finish on such a throwaway device. guess there's just money to burn out there.
the price on the stainless steal version is absolutely insane too... you can buy a $30 regular watch in stainless steal. the material itself is worthless.I didn't, but I think I would now. Why?
I bought Series 0 and Series 4. Both Stainless Steel because I wanted the Sapphire Glass.
Looking at the price... the titanium version is only $50 more expensive than the SS version.
(Yes, the actual difference is higher, but it comes with 2 bands... you add in the cost... tada 50 bucks difference.)
And for just $50 more... I'd TOTALLY get this over another SS version as I much prefer the color and matte finish!

Meh, I paid the premium for the sapphire crystal screen and the watch body happened to be titanium. I could have paid a bit less for the stainless steel but I preferred the matte finish. I have owned the Series 0, 2, and 4. The Series 6 in titanium is my favorite Apple Watch by far. The only reason I ever upgraded the others is because the glass was so beat up. After almost a year, this watch is in pristine condition and I ride it hard. Money well spent, in my opinion.the price on the stainless steal version is absolutely insane too... you can buy a $30 regular watch in stainless steal. the material itself is worthless.
My series 0 finally busted apart. I used scotch tape to rebuild it since I only wear it for sleep. But I would like a 7 so I can push my 4 into sleep duty.Throwaway? People are still rocking Series 3s.
And I also buy new traditional watches all the time. I know very few people that just buy one watch and keep that watch forever. I keep my Series 2 until the 6 came out. That's a pretty good ROI on a piece of small tech.It is when you consider that it's designed to replace traditional watches. Which will last decades when properly maintained.

At the end of the day you'll have an useless watch shaped stab of titanium
When I used to wear wristwatches they'd always break or die. Timex, casio, swatch, CK, skagen, everything at the mass market end would die after a few months. Maybe it's just me, but they all broke eventually. The longest performer was a steelhead which was waist-worn, which I still have and still works.I don’t view any watches as investments. I just expect them to last a long time. I have a clock (Chelsea Ship’s Bell) that I inherited from my grandfather. It was built in the 1960s. I wind it up once a week to keep it going. No batteries to fail and swell up, no slowing down with software updates, etc. Idk what it’s worth, but it surely isn’t worth what a brand new one goes for these days. It’s sentimental, so it doesn’t matter to me.
What was the issue?Apple burned me on the watch 3. I filed a BBB complaint. We had a good back and forth.
I always do, but not because I have money to burn. I just care quite a bit about materials when buying a personal accessory. I wouldn’t wear an aluminum watch to dinner or to work, so it doesn’t make sense for me to buy one even if it’s cheaper.I dunno why anyone buys a premium finish on such a throwaway device. guess there's just money to burn out there.
Kept shutting down and updates would brick it.What was the issue?
Maybe someone thought you shouldn't have emailed Tim Cook about it or maybe they didn't like:
