Dual tones don’t always work but I think in this case it really makes the natural titanium shine through. Very classy.

Yes, I agree. I think the black bracelet works very well with the natural Ti. It has a lovely 'retro' appearance which I find very appealing. I tried it with the silver bracelet in-store and altho it looked nice, it made a statement. This is more subtle and goes well with any outfit. Here are a few more in different lighting conditions.

I am considering both of these as well. They both look sharp but in a slightly different way. I almost feel like I would tire of the gold sooner.

Very Nice! Will you post some of the Gold S5 with the black link?

I do quite like the gold but I just keep going back to the Ti. That's a good way to put it. I think I would tire of the gold as well. I'll try and gets some pics for you.

Just joined the SBTi club!! Was at the Union Square  store yesterday and they had some in stock.

I’m on the fence on whether I actually want to keep it as an upgrade from my Series 4 since the only major changes are the always on and compass (whoopie!).

But my goodness is it beautiful.

My 40mm SBTi is still showing a delivery date of late October.
Hopefully the date jumps forward this week.

Was this an in-store purchase or online pick-up? I was at the Union Square store a few times during launch weekend and was told the titanium model was only available online.

The more I look at this thread the more tempted I am to return the stainless and pick up a titanium...

In store purchase. Just walked in and asked if they had them.

More Ti photos with the black link bracelet. This colour really should be called chameleon titanium.

If you are on the fence and want the natural Ti then I strongly rec that you also get the oem black bracelet as the two will pair and age nicely together. And please do get AC+. It covers titanium edition for 3 years and would be silly not to get at this price point.

Thanks

Looking for this too - been debating between the brown leather loop and black... but from what I've seen with the brown, that combo looks amazing.

This photo is particularly brilliant. The watch has clearly been rubbing against a metal zip or similar abrasive medium and not surprisingly has been scratched. Just look at the plastic lug, the edge has been shaved off by the force! This was not caused by simple contact with air or a defective coating and trying to suggest as much is disingenuous to the extreme.

That looks like it's been rubbing against a cuff link/jacket zip or something, the Apple Dock wouldn't do that, the material is soft.

I would discount any scratches seen at a in-store display. People picking up the watch constantly and holding the way they do is not indicative of actual usage on the wrist. Not to mention nefarious handling to further the narrative.

I think I’m ready to cancel my 40mm SBTi pre-order and get the SBSS.
i thinkmy genuine SB link bracelet is more suited to it and including AppleCare it’s £250 cheaper.

Looks like Apple is catching up on these Ti models....Nov 11-18 last week it was 20-27

Either catching up or people are canceling their orders and you’re being bumped up in queue. My SBTi only went from Nov 26 - Dec 3 to Nov 25 - Nov 29.

Still debating on keeping my order.

Now that I’ve had time to think, I actually wanted the SBTi just because it’s a new material but what if the titanium was the material alongside the aluminium and the stainless steel was the new material?
With Apples pricing strategy the most expensive watches are the SS with Hermes bands and that tends to place the SS models in a different light.
I had the 40mm titanium for one day and couldn’t feel the weight difference with a SS model and the weight difference is meant to be one of the biggest points over SS.

If you’re in a big area check an  store if you have one. I was visiting San Francisco this weekend went to the Union Square store and they had a space black titanium in stock.

Other than display models... Has anyone scratched the SBTi?

I had a SG Al series 1 for over a year with no scratches. I then bought SG Al series 3 and scratched the case and the screen within a month... I know things happen. I am just curious the the SBTi is more durable than the Aluminium? My SBSS series 4 looks perfect after a year. My 6 month old SS has microscratches but obviously can buff.

Also, people in the Apple store are probably taking different bands on and off.

I have two SS 44mm and the new natural Ti 44mm. There is absolutely no noticeable weight difference between the two materials on your wrist. You’d have to be the proverbial 90lb weakling to notice any difference in weight.

I’ve had my natural Ti for nearly two weeks without scratching it. You people worry too much. Just get what you like and enjoy. Anything we buy can be damaged.

Yeah, you’re talking a difference of 7g between both with the titanium (Approximate weight is 41g) and stainless Apple Watch (Approximate weight is 48g), you can’t really differentiate that holding it in the hand, I sorta/Kinda can, because I’m so used to the weight of the stainless over the years, but it’s very similar, but you can tell the stainless has a little bit more of a ‘denser’ feeling to it. But to the average user purchasing the difference between a titanium/stainless weight, they’re pretty much indistinguishable.
