To all of you who think that this reception problem is a figment of people's imagination I welcome you to do a simple test. If you feel like you want to actually PROVE that this problem doesn't exist with your phone, please go ahead and post a video of the following:

1. Download Speedtest.net app for FREE from the app store.

2. Turn WIFI off.

3. Run said app WHILE holding your hand on the lower left bottom of the screen.

4. Be amazed as you have no data connection. (doesn't matter if you have bars).

this is correct ONLY if you are in a mixed signal area. like for instance my work, i see that this work. My apartment or outside. I could hold this all day with my balls and not get a drop.

it's all under contexts. It's like cars. they run work in the rain. But don't dump it in pool.

It's this type of hype of iPhone 4 issues all over the internet, and now the courts, that will make Apple do something about it.

i'm not really sure there is anything for the courts to do, every customer has the option to return the phone at this point, no one is forced to keep it. it isn't against any law to make junk or for people to buy junk. if the retailers are willing to take them back then there is no case or dispute.

keep in mind i'm not saying the iphone 4 is junk

If the court has full signal i mean....like a tower next to it. It won't drop. Hmmm...that said, i wonder if Apple + ATT will deploy a new tower next to the court house.

Yeah it made a very little difference for me. And I was strongly cupping the phone vs. letting it sit on my desk. It was a little slower when cupping, but nothing significant.

Apple would have to not accept refunds, make a statement that there are no issues with any iPhone 4s, and completely ignore the lawsuits. If Apple were this stupid and arrogant, then they may find a class action against them that would have legs. Until then, it's too early and let's say iPhone 4 is not up to our standards, then they goofed.

But compare that against all the really good stuff they put out in the past. Apple is a big boy now and unfortunately, they are a target of potential frivolous lawsuits. What's worse is that it's not about justice, but with what BS sticks if some clever attorneys/firms decide to wage war against Apple in a class action. They can work on contingency and see what they get out of this.

It is naive to think that this product didn't come out with a lot of serious detractors so the alleged problems and legal issues that will follow iPhone 4 are just starting now. My hope is that iPhone 4 is acceptable compared to other phones on the market. Is the failure rate of a certain percentage of iPhone 4s any worse than the industry average. Is the failure rate of iPhone 4s unreasonable?

Let the courts decide, but if you have an iPhone 4 and it works, enjoy it.
