Used to all of the time until I took my phone abroad and it bricked. Had to wait a week before I could restore it back at home.

I don't bother now because of stability. Plus I have no need.

1. SwipeNav: As far as I can tell, I get around just fine using the stock swipe feature.

2. DeleteWord: double tap the word, hit delete. Whole word deleted using stock OS

3. Zephyr/Multitasking Gestures: You shouldn't be "closing windows". Multitasking in iOS doesn't require the user to close apps. The OS takes care of that for you. It will clear the oldest used apps out of the memory as more recent apps are opened. Also, they're not running in the background, they're just in a frozen state until you open them again. Then they unfreeze so you can use them again. It has always bugged me that people are constantly clearing their apps like as if they're eating up battery or processing power.

I NEVER close any of my apps and my phone runs just the same as if there are no apps open. Also, my battery is unaffected.

Regardless of the tone you are getting from my post, it's just annoying when people are oblivious to/ignore blatantly superior ways of doing things.

You have a serious attitude problem here. Just cause you jailbreak doesn't mean you're "superior".

I'd rather have stability than a jailbreak. There is nothing I need to do with my phone that I can't do right now.

I don't want resource hogging themes, background processes, or any other crap anywhere near it.

I like it when I don't have to restore first and then update.
And if I don't jailbreak I don't have to worry about tweaks not working properly so my device and I won't suffer from random reboots when I need it the most.

Nothing wrong with jailbreaking but thinking that people don't jailbreak only because they're oblivious to its features is moronic. I used to jailbreak on my iPhone 3G. Guess what? With all the iOS updates that have come and gone there is absolutely no need for me to jailbreak anymore. Everything I used to do, I can do with vanilla iOS now.

As a reason for not jailbreaking, how about voiding the warranty?

The 7 tweaks the OP listed are either so minor to me or completely meaningless. I like my phone to just plain work. It all depends on his you use your phone.

What about the 7 tweaks I mentioned. Did you even read them?

Sure. They sound nice too.

Unfortunately, they don't sound like they're worth the hassle.

If I put a brand new penny at the very end of your street, would it be worth it to you to walk down there to get it for the "undeniable" benefit it provides?

I got tired of my phone crashing or just not being stable. Certain aspects would lag/delay and everything just became annoying.

It was perfect for tethering but that is the biggest thing I miss and would be the only reason I would go back. I thought the jailbreaking world was diminishing.

The problem with that line of thinking is that most of us here are not oblivious to jailbreaking, we just have chosen not to jailbreak our devices just as you have decided you want to jailbreak.

Jailbreaking will not void your warranty. Just DFU mode and restore before going in to Apple Store

Back before Android or iOS I was a PDA enthusiast and did LOTS of tweaking and hacking, even doing things like hacking together my own bluetooth drivers for a Japanese PDA running a version of Linux. But I realized I was spending way more time tweaking things than actually using the device to get things done. I don't want to have to keep up with all of the latest developments in jailbreaking, etc. I'd rather just use my device.

That's not to say that it's wrong to want to do those things -- they can be fun if you have the time and patience for them. But it is wrong to say that people who don't want to do it are ignorant or in denial.

You're content with the stock swipe features because you haven't used SwipeNav. This same argument applies to all aspects of stock iOS.

Double tapping does not always highlight the word and it's still more steps and much less smooth than delete word.

I'm not talking about "closing" windows, I'm talking about exiting them as I mentioned it as an alternative to the home button.

And that's only 3 of the 7 amazing tweaks I listed.

Just re rooted and installed a new custom rom on my GS2 but that doesn't mean I want to JB my iPhone, I actually like my OS to be stable and secure as Apple intended.

I don't use my S2 anymore but I simply did it last night just to scratch that itch! Yes I miss doing the tweaking and installing new roms but I also value the stability of ios.

I'm looking forward to the next jailbreak, as long as it's stable and it comes with compatibility for the tweaks I like.

I'm not getting rid of iOS 7 on my iPad 4 until there's a jailbreak for iOS 8.

I do, however, like that my iPhone 6 Plus is super stable and I don't know if I would keep a jailbreak that causes my phone to crash every day or even every other day.

So you're saying that swiping up from the bottom to return to the home screen is easier than pressing a button? Wow, how lazy can you possibly be if you can't even be bothered by pressing a single button?

I like stock better. Years ago I'd jailbreak everytime. 5S in pretty sure I never jail broke the entire year. Same for 6+
