Also i don't place much faith in the SEC nor American finance accounting. Wasn't the world recession caused by a US banking collapse including the bailout of how many multibillion dollar companies in the US? AIG, GM, Fanny and Freddie...

I'm sure it's profitable for Apple - they wouldn't sell it if it's not... I'm just saying that it might not have their customary extremely high margin ( what if it had 25-30% margins instead of 35-45%)? That screen is also extremely expensive - the closest comparable is HP's DreamColor notebook displays, and those are $500 upgrades to the end user, with no reason to believe that the margin on the upgrade is outrageous - even if the margin is 50%, the display costs HP $250 over and above the cost of a regular IPS display - I wouldn't be surprised if the retina is similar
