Do you move around a lot with your laptop?

Being a little OCD like you, maybe try and go without a cover. You will certainly take care of the laptop, and it might get scratched eventually, but I think the enjoyment of being able to use your laptop without it being covered with cases and more things is worth it.

Just use a sleeve when moving around. Also, what I did in college was using the sleeve as a protection from food/liquids/dirt in the desks at the cafeteria or other possibly dirty places. This way the bottom of your Mac is protected, and cleaning or replacing a sleeve isn't expensive.

And I agree with other posters, making an effort to reduce your OCD will eventually pay off with a happier life. Right now it is just a laptop, but who knows what you will end up with in the future (kids come to mind, no one likes overprotective parents)

thanks for the thoughts guys but like i said i don't really have ocd. iv never been diagnosed for it or anything and i don't do any ocd rituals or anything like that. I'm sort of particular and am anal about my expensive equipment but i just call it slight 'ocd' behavior. i don't need help or anything lol. I'm just trying to make the best choice for my $2400 investment.

not really because i don't care enough to run out and buy another case? I'm fine with my booq and naked macbook for now. i said I'm going to wait until right after christmas when i will have some more money to decide if i want a case or not. how is that OCD?

either way your acting like a 10 year old, so i suggest you try and get help with that. unfortunately, i don't think theres any treatment for immaturity, so good luck to you. in the mean time you can probably not post in my threads because i really don't care to talk to you. but i suspect you will be too stubborn and childish to simply let something go and will post back. carry on now.

No, there is no air flow through the keyboard or through the body, only through the vents at the rear, near the hinge.

yeah airflow will remain the same but the case will keep an unnoticeable amount of heat retained because the computer does dissipate some heat through the aluminum unibody. but again the difference is negligible.
