I use my phone most for email, surfing the net, videos and messaging...it's a no brainer to get the 5.5 if it comes out, I'm really hoping it does.

I'm not particularly interested in a phone with a 5.5" screen. The 5" and 5.5" screens are just too big to be used comfortably. So far the Moto X is probably my favorite form factor. As long as Apple reduces the bezel around the screen by a decent amount, the 4.7" iPhone 6 may be perfect for me(although my next phone is going to be Android anyway).

Admittedly, I've been one to bash the Note series of phones because they looked "stupid" with how large they are. Looked like holding a tablet against your face. However, after hearing a few Note users speak of how useful the larger screen is, it has me curious enough to purchase and try out the 5.5" iPhone. I can't wait.

If the 5.5 actually exists I will give both sizes a try to see how they feel in the hand.

If the 5.5 does not happen then 4.7 it is which is still a large upgrade over my iPhone 4.

Oh, I'll definitely play with it in the store, but if it's the size of the note 3 it's way too big for me.

No true love here.

I might play with it a little, though I prefer the size of what I have already. It does the trick just fine. I don't get people who think that bigger is always better. It's what you do with what you have.

I'm so used to my 5.5" OPO that its hard to go smaller. After using it a couple weeks, the size looks fine.

To the folks who think the 5.5 will be too big: Please just try it. Give it a...

Being 5.5", it's guaranteed to be at least the size of the Note 3, maybe taller, but just thinner.

Haha you sound very understanding

A few weeks ago, I would tell a 5.5" phone is enormous and too big to be a serious daily device unless you were crazy.

But I just bought a 6" phone a few weeks ago and even though I find it ridiculous in terms of size, I find I actually like the form factor. It's quite nice browsing online or watching some videos on it.

Correct, it's a full multi media device.

Yes, that might be true, but then you would also need another phone for when on the road, or when going out, etc..
I don't know about you but I wouldn't want to have a 5,5" phone when going to the cinema or out on a dinner. Especially in the summer men don't wear jackets, so such a big device wouldn't even fit the jeans pockets easily. As a second device yes, but not as a primary. My only issue with it as a secondary device is that it will be too expensive. I would prefer to get an iPad instead, but that's just me.

It's hardly a suitcase we would carrying around, I have no problem with its size. I'd rather a larger phone/screen.....that's not as snug in my pockets, than a small screen phone which fits great in my pockets.

The 4.7 is the option for those wanting smaller....for us who want a larger scree, this is ideal.

If it looks anything like the mock up on 9to5mac then i won't be even considering it. God its ugly with those bezels. Apple have always been known for style and i dont believe for a second that it will look anything like that

Mockups never look as good as the finalised product, but Apple should definitely try to cut the bezels.

If they are, it would mean all the leaks have been fakes...if that's the case, who's to say any ok the leaked images have anything right , could a completely different handset be possible ?

Nobody can say anything until Apple officially presents the phone, but previous experience has shown that these mock ups can be pretty accurate

Well you hold the iPhone 5 to your ear. Thats something about the size of a Taco or a remote. Would you hold the size of that to your ear?

See its just arbitrary that that is something "bad" that its that size.

Yeah its that size. Thats how big the phone is gonna be. And you pick it up, you look at it, you use it. It happens like that.

I dont understand why that is a source of irritation? Conceptually its the same thing.

The thing is about half an INCH wider.

So you would feel comfortable holding something the size of a taco to your ear, but not a small hardcover book?

When did you make these rules?

You can go through and make this massive post but in the long run it doesn't matter the 5.5 is way to big for a CELL phone. Obviously I struck a nerve here for you. I've had a Galaxy Note 3 for a few days and returned it cause it was WAY to big. THAT is MY preference!

My only concern is that I like slim-fit jeans and it is already hard enough to get the iPhone 5S out of my pocket when I'm sitting.
