And a prescient post about Apple making its own chips for the Mac (off by a few years, but still). Here is the original MacRumors forum discussion on the iPad launch.
The haters always gather in full force for these events and reading their comments 10 years later show just how wrong they were.
This was pretty much a major reason why you shouldn't use someone else's iPad... because it's been with them while on the toiletI am most productive with an iPad on the toilet. It's a total game changer.
They have done that with the iPad Air 2. It came out in 2014 and it’s still getting updates today (my sister just updated her’s to iPadOS 14.4 today).Ordered the original first gen iPad the day they opened orders for it. Loved the device but realized when the new ones came out and Apple stopped providing updates to the OS for the first gen that Apple was really expecting me to toss it in a landfill and buy a new one every couple of years like an iPhone, so haven't gotten one since. When they start supporting them for five or more years then I'll think about getting another.
Give it time and it's a collectors' item, give it a bit more time and it becomes something some grandson of yours could retire on.My Mother still have one brand new sealed, now its garbage (She was busy working at the time).
Not quite as absorbent though ! 😋It’s replaced the newspaper 😉
I think if it's sealed it is already a collectors' item !Give it time and it's a collectors' item, give it a bit more time and it becomes something some grandson of yours could retire on.
What you are describing is a characteristic of any new technology that will initially have a very steep learning curve and rate of improvement, which will gradually decrease over time.Ordered the original first gen iPad the day they opened orders for it.
Go buy it, you will not regret it.I remember when Jobs did this keynote! This was the first Apple device that I finally saw the draw of Apple products and didn’t look back. I got an iPad 4th gen as a high school graduation gift from my Aunt and Uncle (my first Apple product). My mom still uses it to this day! I use my iPad everyday for a variety of things. Thinking about getting a iPad Air 4th gen.
Not , because I didn’t knew at the time that it was so bad at “computing”. iPadOS is iOS , didn’t knew that , thought it would be more than that.
