Yeah it does, I picked up the white one when I got my aluminum macbook.

Is this "old" incase sleeve thicker/more loose on the new aluminum macbooks versus the "new" incase sleeve?

The only reason I ask is because the previous plastic macbooks were thicker than the newer aluminum macbooks.

Thanks for the heads up. Showed as a 2-day sale online and I just picked it up for 9.99 with 0.00 shipping. What a bargain!

Anybody knows if this will stain a white MB?
I read about it over at slickdeals (@ndprunner22: I gave you reps over there:D) that this version of the bag might scratch your MB - and someone recommended to wash it before use,...

thanks so much! - now i can get rid of my $2 bubblewrap envelope!

just bought it - about $10.80 including tax shipped! thanks! no way was i going to pay $30 for a sleive

I do not know, but they will pay claims if their cases ever damage a product. The black pouch for the iPhone stained my BSE skin and they said if it ever stained a product, they send you a free cleaning kit and necessary repairs/replacement after filling out a claim form and having apple confirm damage. It never stained my white iPhone. They said they had a small problem a long time ago with a batch of cases staining MacBooks, but a free replacement case and cleaning kit takes care of it if you do have a problem.

Is this sleeve checkpoint friendly? Can anyone who has this in hand confirm this?

From the TSA website:

For a bag to be considered checkpoint friendly it should meet the following standards:

A designated laptop-only section
The laptop-only section completely unfolds to lie flat on the X-ray belt
No metal snaps, zippers or buckles inside, underneath or on top of the laptop-only section
No pockets on the inside or outside of the laptop-only section
Nothing packed in the laptop-only section other than the computer itself.

Macbook Dimensions Before and After

Old Macbooks 13″
Width: 12.8 inches
Depth: 8.9 inches
Height: 1.1 inches
Weight: 5.0 pounds

New Macbook i 13″
Width: 12.78 inches
Depth: 8.94 inches
Height: 0.95 inch
Weight: 4.5 pounds

so we are talking about - 0.15 inches (3mm) - dont think it can be that loose -the difference looks more to the eye due to the tapering and metal/plastic shine to the eye i think

This case did stain the sides of my white MB.

I ordered it online monday night, and until today it hasn't shipped. Has the people that buy it online got the shipping notification already?

0-1 days shipping time, mine is still sitting just like yours. Ordered Monday as well. We'll see.

Mine's still sitting, I bought one at the Apple Store on Monday for $35, took it back and ordered this.

Called Best Buy and it should be shipping out tonight or tomorrow.
