Most interesting thing is the glasses Tom Hanks has on.. Zoom in on them.. They look as if they have cameras , sensors in the arms. Also, what if Apple pulled the end all and had Tom rocking prototypes of what Apple Glasses will eventually look like.

Tom Hanks was great in Captain Philips and Greyhound. He does his best whenever is on board on a ship. In space or sea, doesn't make that difference...

He was also great in Forrest Gump aboard a ship!

Jeez, I thought Greyhound was absolutely awful, and I'm a big Tom Hanks fan and a sucker for most movies about warships, submarines, etc. (Crimson Tide, Hunt For Red October, Das Boot, K-19). Was very disappointed, so I sure hope this one is better.

I’m going to go with something in between superb and awful.

It didn’t have the quality of writing like CT, HfRO, DB, or K-19, but I thought the cinematography and sound were good.

I give it a solid score of, mediocre. 😉

Thanks for reminding me to watch Das Boot. Haven’t seen that one in a few years.

Apple had nothing to do with the production or control. They simply won the already-produced product at auction.

Good point but control over release windows and marketing on Apple TV+ is also very valuable.

Cloud Atlas is one of the worst movies ever made. The bros (sisters?) got lucky with matrix. Everything else they've made is soapbox garbage.

Calling Jupiter Ascending garbage is an insult to garbage.

Still having one brilliant idea and movie is more than most accomplish so I give them props for the matrix.

It’s based on a great book and they couldn’t reproduce all the internal dialogue of the book so it loses something. Still I enjoyed it.

Greyhound was just ok. I enjoy Tom Hanks. But the problem is you know what to expect with Tom. You don’t get as many surprises from him like you did in the 90’s earning back to back oscars.
