Luckily, they were able to hold the phone for me while I get everything sorted with AT&T. Right now i'm going back and forth between Apple and AT&T trying to get my upgrade eligibility back. Meanwhile the phone is waiting for me at the store and there's nothing I can do about it.. I can't get a clear answer as to who can reset my account eligibility!

Hey guys I just went through this. Spent the day going back and forth between Apple and ATT. What I ended up doing was purchasing the phone outright. I then spoke with ATT who reset my eligibility. They said it takes 3-4 days. So in 3-4 days allegedly, and I may not even do it, I can go back to Apple and have them return it and then put me on the plan.

Meanwhile I am sending a complaint letter to ATT. It is completely unfair that they are basically treating us Next customers as second class citizens compared to the contract customers. I mean allegedly its is for security reasons but there are many ways this can be mitigated. Heck you have to show ID in person versus shipping.
 
How early are people getting to the apple stores during the week? Trying this 1 time and don't want to miss out. Also when do they typically come out and tell the line what they have? Do they let you reserve it and come back later?

Well, I was playing the game of showing up when the staore opened, coming back in the afternoon to see if there was stock.

Waking up at 3-4 in the morning to check stock.

Go an email while driing on the interstate from IstockNow, pulled over, purchased, drove to my office and now I have to go to the Apple store and pick up my 128 space grey that I wanted.

Anybody prior to September 2014 join date actually had any luck with istocknow or are these fake accounts doing shameless plugs for this service, this is like the 3-4 time i've seen this in this forum.

Im curious on how fast emails are sent.

I ask because one of my stores went live for about 10 minutes yet I never received an email from iStocknow. I also checked my spam folder just in case.

A lot of people joined over the fervor for the phone. If you look at my post history, however, you'll see I've participated in many other threads and also wrote and shared my own iPhone app and php script for monitoring inventory before the iStockNow thing really even caught on.

That said, I also signed up for the iStockNow service, had some issues with its timing the other day that the author responded to and resolved and then the notice came on time today.

From my perspective, I think the above is enough to illustrate that I'm not here just mindlessly shilling an app, but it's the internet, so that's about as good as it gets for forensic proof.

64GB Space Gray seems to be somewhat of a unicorn for instore pickup. I haven't seen one show up anywhere since I started hawking the inventory feeds.

I think it's probably the most popular size and color and because of that always gets held for walk-ins rather than in-store pickup, thus you don't see it in the feeds.
