Tonight 1am order online for in store pickup Saturday

I've talked to probably 12 Target stores in my area. They seem to be expecting some decent stock this week.

They are still filling their preorders but several stores said they are almost done and the next phones will go to the wait list. First I'd heard of that. Turns out most (not all) of the Target stores are taking info down and will call as they come in. I'm on about 10 wait lists all over the Porland area.

Call Target
Press number for Electronics
Ask for Target Mobile person
Ask about current stock
Die a little inside
Ask if you can be on the wait list
If they say they aren't doing one, ask if they can start with you. Worked for me at three stores.

I think the issue is that preordered phones are showing up on Idevicechecker. I also had the same issue in the southbay, I called around and theyall said every phone they have is for a preorder.

I was wondering the same thing. I got an iStock notice that a 6+ space gray AT&T 64gb was available at the Plano, TX store today at 1:13pm. How does that happen since they aren't getting deliveries today and I assume someone waiting in line would have wanted the phone since there are a few of us in the DFW area looking for it. Do you think this was a canceled reservation that went straight to online stock?

Honestly, I have no clue. I scored a 6+ 64gb on 9/19 and almost had one last night but I got an error once I submitted my payment. Im honestly thinking about buying one off Swappa for $100 more......

I got the same thing, and I checked the apple store and almost got through checkout.

I think people opt out of phones, so they put them in inventory.

But It was there all the way until disappearing in the checkout.

I'm not sure about about Target, but I know best buy does AT&T Next

I think you are right. Same thing happened to me. idevicechecker showed phones but when I called/showed up at the store, they did not have any.

I have signed up for notification but never got the mail. I am looking for exact same phone. Did not get lucky at Frisco store since last three days and today I was the first person in line who wanted ATT phone (second in line and first guy wanted tmo). They did not have any ATT phones.

iDevicechecker showed there was an inventory to one of the Target here in Chicago. I went and the mobile associate thought it was only for pre-order. She asked me how I found out they had one and I told her that the electronic associate called her boss and asked him/her if they had any 6+ for AT&T in stock and they said yes and only one. So she called her boss to double check and got the thumbs up and she sold us the only 6+ phone. I guess it might vary by stores.

You guys in the DFW area that are still searching for a 6+ 64gb space gray, I'll be returning mine this week. I'm hunting for a 6 in space gray but no luck so far...

True. Apple doesn't re-sell even un-opened phones. I remember, couple of years back I bought a phone for my wife as a gift but she wanted something else so when I returned the phone which was still in shrink wrap, apple employee opened the box right in front of me to make sure the phone was in there. And she said that they won't put it back for sale. I am guessing, they would use it for replacement or something.
 
Thanks to aristocrat for his script. I got it to work on my of and about 15 errors later I got my iPhone +. It was at about 11am
 
Just saw 2 stores go green on the istocknow tracker, one on east coast and one on west coast. Hope it happens soon.
 
its happening, green all over the map. see a few 6+ in columbus. looking for one closer to me.
 
Fingers crossed I think I found an AT&T iPhone 6 + 128 gig for pick up..... that is the good part. The bad part is it is in NY and I live in California. But hopefully my friend who's visiting NY will pick it up for me!!!

I am so tired of checking every 5 min on istocknow and apple.com to see the stock disappear in seconds. I hope that this is it, so I can finally get some sleep :)
