applescruff1,
I imagine it would be odd if they didn't

I would think that they would know what was coming in, but he said they don't. I was also told that employees weren't allowed to but the iPhone 6 until the mad rush was over, but I saw one using one at the mall when he got out of work.

Is there a way to pay full price for a Verizon phone for the in-store pick up option?

According to Apple chat, no. But if you try to upgrade an existing line that is not eligible for an upgrade, the online system will let you pay full price.

oh that sounds risky man, I can wait lol

Numerous folks have reported back successful. Myself included, I thought I could wait until the morning and just walk into store and grab a 6 Plus. Within 40 minutes most in Atlanta were cleared out so I took the risk, it was well worth it.

woops meant to quote the other guy, but if no shipments saturday night then thats crazy. Maybe the employees can walk in as customers?

In the Canadian Apple stores do you have to pay by card when reservating online or can you reserve and pay by cash in store? Thanks.

What did you guys tell them so they could change it?

You think 16gb is enough? Got my eyes on a 64gb

For me, yeah. I don't put music on my phone, just streaming. I don't play games, etc... just social networking and stuff. If you think it's enough for yourself, get it. I've never been short on memory and I've had 16GB on all my phones.

This. I don't get you 16GBers.
I just don't.

128 all the way.

I don't put music on my phone.

I don't download unnecessary applications. The ones I use daily, I download. That's it.

I take a lot of pictures, but delete them after I back them up to Aperture on my iMac.

What's there not to get?

They get shipments at some point during the day on Saturday. I didn't ask if they go into inventory right away or for the following day.

I tried that and it shows the full price option, but it shows a $30 upgrade fee and 2 year contract. Will my contract be extended and upgrade fee be applied?

Nothing for me so far. 0037 in FL. I saw them update Saturday morning and pretty much all day different models.
Miami seems to have a constant stock of iPhone 6 plus for sprint.

The manager at one of my local stores said every day except Sunday, but they don't know how many or what is coming in. Or so he claimed.

Thanks.

Has any one purchased the phone outright from Apple and managed to keep their UDP with Verizon?

I was told by 2 specialist online that you can not keep the UDP if you go through Apple and that you must go through verizon.

Planning on just purchasing it and saying It is a gift for a Verizon Customer.

Just picked up my in store pickup today at the Apple store West 14th street in NYC.

Iphone 6+ Space Grey 64 Gb

I originally preordered but wasn't willing to wait until Mid October. I scoured the Apple.com website for in store pickup availability.

My advice is if you are in a big city and you want a 6+, keep updating the website like crazy until a store publishes a new shipment. Then you have to be fast and submit your order. The first time i tried, the phones sold out by the time I went to checkout. Second time I nailed it.

Love the 6+. The size is awesome.

Apple needs to prioritize pre-orders. No reason why in store pickup orders placed after release day preorders like mine should take priority just because people line up like sheeps.

If you pay full price, your contract shouldn't be extended. You would be responsible for the balance of your existing contract. I don't think there should be an upgrade fee for a full price phone either, but the way the carriers nickel and dime us on everything, I wouldn't be surprised.

Thanks.

Does Apple show the option to keep your existing plan?

I keep getting a error when trying to reserve the phone on Apples website.
I am able to select the phone I would like and the location for pick up. Then after clicking replace on a line it takes me to this.

I am on a Single Nationwide Talk & Text Plan line with UDP. With eligible upgrade which I wont be using in order to keep the UDP.

Last year I purchased the phone outright from Bestbuy with a price match and everything worked out fine.

Maybe you have to do it in store and won't be able to buy the phone online?
