Thank you so much for this thread. Got my Plus 64 GB Space Gray today. Going to cancel my T-Mobile order.

In the Canadian Apple stores do you have to pay by card when reservating online or can you reserve and pay by cash in store? Thanks.

Pay in store. You reserve through your Apple ID.

I reserved early yesterday morning (3am) and picked up my 64gb 6+ at Square One in Mississauga yesterday afternoon. Paid in store

Maybe you have to do it in store and won't be able to buy the phone online?

That is what I'm thinking... Hopefully I wont be forced out of my UDP thats why I would like to purchase it as a gift then call Verizon to activate a new phone.

It sucks since there was a large availability here in Houston early in the morning but what held me back was being able to reserve. Did not want to do the add a line thing.

I thought that you could keep your unlimited data as long as you didn't buy a subsidized phone?

What did you guys tell them so they could change it?

I told them I recently purchased this iPhone from the website with an in-store pickup option using my 2 year eligibility. I changed my mind and wanted to switch the AT&T Next plan. Again it comes down to the right person but it is 100% doable. With the way supply is working pending on your location, it is the only way you can get your hands on one. The mall I went to got numerous 6 Plus' but only 1 128GB, when I arrived to the store, there was a couple in front of me asking about a 128 6 Plus and the rep told them we only got 1 in and it was bought earlier in the morning. Best way I've seen this is lock it in by paying up front and having it swapped.

Correct. but that is why I am confused since the specialist online told me I was not able to do that in a Apple store.

I would check at the Apple store and see if they can do it. You definitely want to be 100% sure so you don't lose the UDP.

I don't get why Verizon told you that. You should be able to swap between phones on the same number without changing anything plan wise. What if your phone broke and you used a spare or bought a used one? You should be able to swap back and forth at will.

i have an iPhone 6 Plus 64GB Space Gray (Verizon) order prepared for when the stores update around 2:30-3 AM EDT

Pleaseeeee be in stock! My store still has a 16GB version in stock, but that's not enough space for me. And they had the exact everything except in gold earlier today, but I don't like the way the gold looks on the new ones.

Just from my own experience, I was able to reserve a 6+ 64gb Space Grey yesterday (Sept 20) just after 3am EST. I had been refreshing for a couple hours and was about to give up.

Not saying that all stores will have inventory open up that late/early, but it's certainly possible.

Worst comes to worst 16gb is enough for me

What page you suggest I should keep refreshing on?

From what I've read through the forums, stock typically updates at:

11:30-12:00 AM/Midnight on the West Coast
12:30-1:00 AM in Mountain Time
1:30-2:00 AM in Central Time
2:30-3:00 AM on the East Coast

Possibly give or take 30 minutes as it's sometimes early or late.

Pretty much the same way the preorders worked. Obviously Apple is based out of California, so they update the store's quantities at Midnight PDT/PST.

I ordered my iPhone 6 Plus 64 gig Friday evening into Saturday morning at 3am eastern when inventory was updated. Picked it up this afternoon. Unfortunately, I think it's going to have to go back. This sucker is BIG.

i got my 6, 128GB today. by the time i got to the mall, the apple store was packed and sold out. i walked 100 ft to the verizon store figuring what little stock they got was all gone. to my surprise, they said they had some 6's in stock....no line at all. in and out in 15 mins. i have no idea why NO ONE thought of this while they were sitting in the apple store crying that there was no stock there.

It does appear that the process is slightly different for Canadians.

However, if you simply choose the phone, colour and storage you are looking for, you can click "available for pick up: check availability" and type in your zip code to see the closest option

http://store.apple.com/us/buy-iphone/iphone6

For whatever it's worth:

First of all, thanks to OP for this thread!

I was randomly refreshing around 11am EST yesterday (Saturday), and at 11:12am EST one store suddenly showed availability. I completed the checkout process as fast as I could and was able to reserve one for pickup.

My final pickup email didn't come through until 10:31pm EST the same day. Unfortunately, the store closes at 7pm EST. That means pickup emails are still sent out past the store closing time.

I'm in NYC, picking up at Grand Central.

Advice: if you're picking up at the Grand Central store, NYC, do not arrive too close to the closing time. The store manager closes the store 15 minutes earlier due to long lines for iPhone pickups.

Also, do not even think about showing up at the store without receiving the final pickup email. I tried. Didn't work.

If you can snatch a phone at any other store, go for it. Grand Central is the worst of them all.

Good luck to all.

P.S. biggest iPhone stocks show up at around 2:20am EST and 3:30am EST and then some throughout the whole day. Refresh often.

I have two pages open.

the "Secure Checkout" page (right before you actually confirm buying the phone) under Step 1 - Delivery & Pickup Options you can select Pick up and then check store availability. This makes it really easy to check out super fast to almost guarantee someone else won't checkout and get it before you.

and

the main iPhone 6 store page http://store.apple.com/us/buy-iphone/iphone6 where you can check all the different sizes, colors, and capacities, just in case there's another option you'd like to choose from instead, or just as a reference to see if your store or others stores are getting stock in of other models.
