Question:

I purchased 64gb 6+ on launch day on the line I wanted to upgrade. I just now opened a new line so I could purchase the 128gb to swap out for the 64gb I already own.

Any issues with canceling the new line and applying this to my returned 64gb line tomorrow in store?

Assume it will take some system manipulating but seems totally doable.

I wanted a 128 plus for myself and 64 plus for my wife. Ended up getting 64 plus in gold for both of us since the 128 isn't available anywhere near me in Chicago... The Lincoln Park and Michigan stores seem to have plenty of 64's available in silver or gold. Maybe I'll get lucky and be able to exchange mine within 2 weeks for something in 128gb.

Don't think the AT&T phones are going to be refreshed today. Sigh. Only see 16 and 64 GB silver on Verizon available in SD.

UGH you took one of my gold!!!! haha jk. I was too late

So what hours (local time) are we supposed to start checking, and what time should we stop?

I saw one available, but it wouldn't let me finish the checkout. I guess someone else got it while I was entering info.

Then, 10 min later, I saw it in stock again, and same thing.

The first one showed up around 11:30PM. The next around 11:40.

Same here. One store had it and then 5 minutes later, another store had availability but then gone after 1 minute

Snagged a VZW 128gb Gold Plus. I was hoping for SG but I'll be fine with gold since it will be in a case. I'm in Minneapolis and it updated around 1:58am local time.

The 6 Plus 128gb I have reserved for pickup tomorrow is an AT&T model.

Opps forget my reply just noticed you said in the SD area was thinking you meant in general as in across the entire country.

After getting really tired of trolling the Apple website, I wrote an app to scrape their inventory feed and alert me if it finds the 6 Plus model I want in stock.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure I can't release it publicly due to the way I'm getting at the inventory, but it sure is handy.

Screen scraping. Oh man, that reminds me back in the day. It'll take you ages for Apple to approve it, by that time everyone will have an iphone 6 lol

Man. Another one came up where I live at 1:10AM, and I got all the way to the last button for checkout. Even after agreeing to the terms. Final checkout: An Error Occurred.

Made me log back in, and it was gone. WTF.

I don't understand why they are coming into the system so erratically. I would think that they would come in in groups of phones. If employees are scanning them into the system, it makes sense that several come in at a time.

Not 1 at 11:20, one at 11:40, and then one at 1:10.

Must be errors.

It's Just not you. Happened to me twice tonight. Sucks. I just called my credit card company to make sure that they are not flagging this as fraudulent charge. Seems to be Apple thing.

I got the error message twice. The third time it worked for me.

The phone was still there after 2 tries?

I guess since I am in a very popular location, and trying to get a popular phone (64GB Gray) that they go quickly. That is if these aren't errors in availability to begin with.

Wish Apple would hold your cart for at least 10 minutes for you. This is ridiculous.

Yep it was still there. It took me about half an hour to check out due to some account changes that took place with Verizon a while back.

I just looked again, the 128gb/VZW/gold plus still available in Minneapolis.

I second that thought. I just got one chance to complete the transaction. Got the error and that's all. Phone was gone...

I reallyyy can't decide between the gold or silver... For the past 6 years, I've had 3 black iPhones.

Tonight 1am order online for in store pickup Saturday

Looks like there was mostly only availability for the t mobile 6+ versions tonight in Florida. No ATT. No Verizon. Little bit of Sprint availability. Man. Kinda dry supply here.

The contract free version works with both AT&T and T-Mobile but it comes with a T-Mobile sim (that you can replace with your AT&T sim). When you reserve the phone, they actually set your phone aside (with your name taped to the box). If you try to get a different version, they can't guarantee it will be available.

I'm actually in Canada where I believe all carriers use the same SIM. Also phones from Apple all are unlocked before a sim is put in which is why I'm not sure they even have a contract option.
