That one about tapping the case to see the charging light is sort of cool.

Yup, didn’t know that myself. It’s the small features that create a larger selling point when you know figure out the little things. (Apple is also known to include snippets of hidden features they sometimes don’t disclose, makes it interesting to find ‘secrets’ from others.)

I had really hard time in the beginning removing from the case #1 is really a great tip. But instead I pull on the rubber tips to pull them out of the case.

I like my AirPod Pros. This is completely off topic but the Series 4 watch is $299 at Best Buy while Series 5 is $399. I have never owned one. Is the Series 5 worth the extra $100?
I have the 3, so would consider it, only the 3 seems to be working well enough for me for now. Beyond that, ppl I know with the 4 haven't seen a reason to upgrade to the 5, as the features aren't enough of a leap. Of course, if I had the $$, I would get a 5 for sure. But again, the 3 run smoothly enough with the latest OS, and I am actually genuinely happy to keep it another year.

What a time to be alive. I have an iPhone X that is ticking along very well into its third year. And an Apple Watch ticking along its third year. Usually I am Mr 2-Year Recycle Man. This is a turn!

Apple in October 2019 debuted the AirPods Pro, a new higher-end version of its existing AirPods with an updated design, noise cancellation technology, a customizable fit with silicone ear tips, and a more expensive $249 price tag.

In this guide, we've collected 14 of our favorite AirPods Pro tips to help you get the most out of Apple's latest and greatest wireless earbuds. Check out our video, keep reading, and you might well discover a new trick or two.
.....

14. Reset Your AirPods Pro

If your AirPods aren't working as they should be - if you can't connect to them or if they won't charge, for example - you can reset them by following these steps.

  1. Put your AirPods in their case and close the lid.
  2. Wait 30 seconds, then open the lid.
On your iOS device, go to Settings -> Bluetooth and tap the circled "i" icon next to your AirPods.

Tap Forget This Device, and tap again to confirm.
  3. With the AirPods case lid open, press and hold the button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds until you see the status light flashing amber.

With the case lid open, place your AirPods close to your device and follow the steps on your device's screen to reconnect your AirPods.

Looks awfully complicated for a simple set of ear buds. I'm especially amused by the 'Step 14' leading me to believe it is likely the most used step of any?

I'm not so sold on the Apple-centric universe especially after IOS 13.n which totally screwed up iTunes Playlists and shoved advertisements in front of every use trying to do App updates!

Question for those with AirPods Pro. Find My with the original AirPods was pretty much useless because you couldn’t find them if they were in their case which is where most people store them. If you don’t remember where you left them (in a pocket, in another room, in a bag), you’re out of luck and have to look everywhere. Did they fix that with this generation? Can you ping AirPods Pro if they’re in the case or does the case itself make a sound?

I got noise cancelling headphones for air travel but there's no perfect setup. Earbuds have short battery life and don't cancel low frequency noise (mechanical limitations), whereas over-ear headphones are bulky and ruin sleep. Do you folks have recommendations for the best-of-breed for this task?

The Airpods Pro do fit under Bose 700 NC for double duty. Flight test still pending.

I like that the in-ear fit doesn’t amplify contact vibrations, a common irritant if you lean against a wall, window, or headrest while wearing over-the-ear NC phones.

Same general issue here - I'd love to have a pair of these for plane rides, but I regularly fly to SE Asia which is over 20 hours of flying from where I live.

No way any of these wireless sets would last that long, and I hate the big bulky earphones that I'd need instead.
If you do fly regularly then the answer is a pair of airpod pro pairs, one will recharge while using the other, if only they came in different colours so you didn’t mix them up!

Pro AirPods Pro tip tip: for an improved seal and better sound make sure to put the left AirPod2 Pro AirPod in your left ear and the right AirPods Pro AirPod in your right ear.

That's great advice for shoes and gloves as well! Thanks!

I nearly had an epileptic fit trying to read the comments as the images loaded. Jumpy jumpy.
The article doesn’t mention the feature of having the pods diagnose your fit in a matter of seconds.

And if the poster did have that epileptic fit, apparently, the iPods could have diagnosed it!

Seeing how quickly companies slap branding on devices, like the MacRumors.com label above, reminds me of how much restraint Apple demonstrates with its wearable products. No company name or even logo on the Apple Watch and AirPods.

They let their distinctive design do the talking.

Can you imagine having to be a walking Sony billboard?

This goes to show how good the APP's are. I am happy with mine but just so wish the sound quality was better, it is incredibly washed out (even to my knackered ears), my £30 buds sound far superior.

Functionality though is great, which is why I decided to keep them.

Thanks MR for another helpful article.

I got my APP yesterday and they're awesome compared to the Gen 1 AP I was using.

Very helpful article. I’ve been struggling with removing them from the case and have been pulling them out by the rubber tip. The method in step one is so much easier (not to mention better for the Pods) and I can’t believe I didn’t figure that one out on my own, it’s so simple.

I have flown with these twice and they work fantastic. Keep in mind though I was watching movies both times so I had the sound going with the noise cancellation.

I'm just the opposite. I love the functionality but I can't deal with the lackluster sound quality. I was looking forward to replacing my Jabra Elite 65s but for me, the sound quality of my music is far too important. Maybe the PowerBeats Pros check all the boxes for me.

Does anyone know the brand of the iPhone and AirPods wireless charger shown in this video?

That Live Listen feature on the AirPods Pro has some serious spying potential..
These sound like a really well thought out product, but remote mic sounds pretty dangerous.
Number 6 - Listen in on people in another room. Definitely sounds dodgy.
Live Listen is not specific to AirPods Pro, the feature was introduced in iOS 12 and can be used with AirPods 1, AirPods 2, AirPods Pro or even Powerbeats Pro (requires iPhone X or newer):
