i'm 30 odd posts off getting into the top 50, maybe i might acctually try cleaning up my posts when i'm in the limelight....

I doubt anyone believes me anymore when I reminisce about the time I wondered if I'd ever make it into my own Top 50 list someday. It just shows what a serious forum habit can do to people.

I bet it was back when everything was monochromatic and computers didn't even have permissions, let alone a repair mechanism.
But they had PRAM, man, they had PRAM. And it could be reset.

I'm just wondering if he was Mister Q back then. Or even Master Q.

Hmmmm... Master Q... nah... doesn't sound right.

Exactly how long ago was it that you weren't in the top 50?
Click the first link in the first post of this thread. I hadn't made the list yet, and projected that I might just barely make it onto the list within a year and would never reach the top 40. So my accuracy was a bit off on that one.

So... was Mr. Anderson ever not at the top? Maybe for 20 minutes or so, right at the beginning? ;)

Nah, he probably joined when there was less than 50 members on Mac Rumors in total, thereby putting him on the list by default... ;)

Yeah... but I meant the #1 spot. I mean, even if he were to stop posting, it'd take mj - he of the fleet fingers - well over a year to catch up. And he hasn't posted much the past year or two.

Back in the day, he must have made mj look slow.

Ah yes, sorry, I see what you mean about the #1 spot. I think he was perhaps not at the top just before he made his first post, but after that, the rest is history... ;)

Yeah, I think back in the day he was a much more prolific poster, racking up several +100 post days at times - a feat myself or mad jew could not even accomplish! (Although I hate to admit we've probably come close at times... ;))

^^You "only" make around 10 posts per day. You'll never catch up to the Jew. :p He's been taking it slow as well. He'll probably never catch up to Mr A if he just starts posting again.

And over the past little while, I've probably been posting well over 6 posts per day. In fact, my number is kind of a cheat. In my 1st year of membership here at MacRumours, I think my post rate was less than 1 per day (I didn't have that much to say, and arguably, I still don't ;) ). It was only 12 months that I started posting more regularly, so my post count has probably been higher than 5.85 per day over the past few years.....

Yeah, one day we hope to finally crash the MacRumors servers with our combined spamtastic efforts, so arn can then replace them with shiny new Intel XServes.

Mr. Anderson, from one whore to another, I salute you.

My goodness - so many questions!

I do have a Master's degree, so you may call me Master if you like.

This post and other by Rower_CPU were made before Mr. Anderon was even a member, so by definition Mr. Anderson wasn't always #1 among our current top posters.

Oh, so you're not a real doctor?

You just call yourself doctor, like Dr. Dre? :(
I also have a Doctorate degree, hence my title. What can I say, I enjoyed school so I stayed until they ran out of diploma paper.
