Imagine how spammish the forums would get if next to our posts we had tracking stats like this
Posts: 1234
Post rate 1.23/day
Overall post rank 4321
Number of posts needed to overtake member above: 45
Number of posts needed by member below to overtake you: 67

Keep in mind that once upon a time I had no expectation that I'd ever be in the Top 50.
I agree, I never thought I would ever hit 5,000 posts. I think the top 50 is moving so fast now that the rate to catch it would be 500 a week.

Probably not that fast, but looking at my own stats and the people above me, I don't see myself cracking the top 50 either (even though I'm currently #54).

But that's also dependent on where you post. ;) IIRC, quite a few of your posts fall into the PRSI forum.

Not nearly so many as at one time in my MR career, but if those counted I'd be in the top 25 now probably. In fact when that policy was first instituted a few years ago I had my post total cut by more than half overnight. Just looking at my per day average, which is relatively low, I can see getting bumped further down the list by some of the posting machines out there.

Somewhere out there lurks the next posting cyborg. It ain't gonna be me, I can tell you that much.
Me neither! ;)

Don't visit here as much as I used to. Of course the stats probably say different because many times I leave my browser window on MR throughout the day for convenience.

I bet it would be fun to watch MJ doing his normal posting routine. :)

In slow motion, of course, so we could actually see the fingers furiously typing, rather than just a blur of motion over the keyboard.

I agree, it's almost like a form of sleight of hand. Perhaps mad jew could take up being a magician in his spare time if he so chose...

I think his secret must be an army of clones.
Ah, so he's plural. Maybe he only types 10 words per minute and sleeps 22 hours per day, but collectively they have hundreds of fingers and are awake 50 hours per day. I guess his username should be mads jew.

I forgot which thread I was in, so naturally I assumed "he" meant Steve Jobs, by "secret" I assumed the infamous secret features of Leopard, and by "clones" I thought you meant Mac clones.

...My first thought was, "Oh, No! Not this again!" ;) :p
