Awesome, thanks for the info Doctor Q, I always enjoy this time of year! Well, this time and then when you crunch the numbers again in July. ;) :D Some of the stats are pretty interesting this time around!

As for myself, I have continually been posting relatively less, so am surprised I've maintained my rank as much as I have. I expect to gradually drop, but I guess we'll see what happens and how active other posters are who are below me... Regardless, I don't care about post count, just happy to be a contributing member of the community here. :)

Oh, and you're right on the money Doc, number "7" is indeed my lucky number! Since you're a math-head maybe you'll be able to figure out why: here's your hint - my birthday is January 11.

clever! yea havent seen you around much recently. maybe we are on different parts of the forums

I have one last question for Doctor Q. Are we going to get the End of Time stuff as well or is this it for January 2009? I really loved July's stats.

One table/graph at a time. It's hard for everyone to digest it all at once.

hmm i only have 639 prsi posts....interesting thought it was more

But 639 posts in PRSI requires a lot more effort. In equivalent terms, it's like an additional 3000 posts in the regular forums.

Not surprised you figured it out... ;) :D

I have my posting spurts every once and a while and then I'm not on the forums for days it seems - just really busy these days. I've done a fair bit of traveling over the last few months as well, resulting in me being away for weeks at a time and posting very little. I've been a little more active these last couple weeks due to the holidays, but that will probably start to subside once I start back into my normal work schedule and so forth. Busy busy!

Yeah, I see you around every once and a while but perhaps we are indeed on different schedules. ;)

More like Batstard® Cave™:D

Fine, you can have the registered trademark on "Batstard", I get the whole term trademarked - everyone wins. :p ;)

Anywho, I'm hoping Doctor Q will provide us with some supplemental data as well on the Top 50 Posters as he has done on previous occasions - I always find this stuff fascinating for some reason! :D

Alphaod has >7,700 and over 23 PPD in less than a year. I am surprised he didn't get on the venerable list.

ive also noticed Tallest Skil jumping through the rankings too as of late

i thought i had more than 1300 posts in the last 6 months for sure. maybe not lol

ijohnhenry didn't make it either w. near 4,000 posts since Mar. 22, '08.
alphaod and Tallest Skil would be around #60. ijohnhenry would not be in the Top 100.

As always.

He usually does it in stages.
Yes, a little at a time. It's not that I have anything else to do. It's just that I have to avoid getting scorch marks on my pocket calculator. I really should try using a computer the next time.

I am sure he will. I can just imagine the smoke coming out of his calculator as he crunches out the data. :D

BTW, nice to see you around, but understand about the work bit. :)

Ah, I love these threads. :) Statistics of nearly anything are interesting to me.

Hence:

Great work, as ever, Doctor Q!!

You should try a job producing stats on something then, your interest will soon wane. :)

maybe im clueless but how does jefhatfield have a longer membership than arn?

was arn not a member for a time while he ran the site?
It's a wonderful piece of trivia, which I've explained in some of the past threads but not in this one. arn founded MacRumors using different forum software. When he switched to new forum software, he merged some membership data from the old forums and new people joined as well. arn ended up as member number 1 but without the oldest registration date. jefhatfield ended up as member 340 but with an earlier registration date.

Cool.

Funny how that worked out.

BTW, thanks for your analysis Doctor Q! :)
