I'm quite glad to still be around anywhere!
Very round you look too.

Great. I loves me a challenge.Jaffa Cake has the highest 4-digit post count. At his post rate from recent months, he should hit 10,000 posts about 4 days from now, on July 9.
Quite literally in fact:Gee mpw, don't be such a post whore![]()
...I guess I'll need to beat off arn over the next 6months...
...I dream of beating off jsw too.
although I can see that stack of magazines under rdown's bed from here.
I tend to post more in the colder months of winter and slack off during the summer.
So it means that sometimes, I do have a life.Abstract joined in December 2002. His post rate has increased and decreased over time.

Geez, can't a guy have a private life?![]()
After looking at that graph, who else thinks we need an "Abstract's post rate at the end of time" calculation?![]()
We'd be getting into messy double-derivatives. Lets not go there.
I would like to be able to do the same for myself. Curious about that metric. That's a metric I'd love to be able to generate for myself. I know it started off as nearly non-existent, but is about 7/day over the last 3 months or so.
A cyclical life it looks to be.So it means that sometimes, I do have a life.
I'd like to see it for myself as well. I don't know if we'd be putting too much work on Doctor Q though. It's surprising the analysis we do get when this thread does roll around.I would like to be able to do the same for myself. Curious about that metric.
Here are some members, with their post rates over the last 6 months shown in parens, for which I won't have sufficient predictive data until next time:CalBoy (15.0 posts/day)
Teh Don Ditty (11.6 posts/day)
Markleshark (8.6 posts/day)
flopticalcube (7.0 posts/day)
jessica. (3.7 posts/day)
but remember kiddies, it's not all about post count http://up.*************/files/1/Images/Smilies/Dogeyes.gif
I am curious to see my flow. Numbers and processes fascinate me. If I knew how to do this, I would gladly do it for myself.I'd like to see it for myself as well. What surprises me the most is that the top posters settled down around the same post count.
Bite your tongue!but remember kiddies, it's not all about post count
I am sure that it takes quite a bit of effort to compile and analyze the data. Thanks to Doc Q for compiling this data, as always.
i feel ashamed.![]()
i wonder what my rank is out of all members
Slacker.Currently 270th. You're at the bottom of page 9 on the members list, when sorted by post count.
I have the exact same interest. Back in my more active days I could easily spot trends from Forum Spy and had a long list of redundant yet interlinked threads.I am curious to see my flow. Numbers and processes fascinate me. If I knew how to do this, I would gladly do it for myself.
I can't deny what I am.![]()
Dr. Q, thanks so much for showing the history of raw fish.sushi's post rate has gone from 5.0 posts/day to 4.7 posts/day to 7.5 posts/day over the last 18 months. (The constant slope for the first 4+ years would probably be a curve if I had his data on him from earlier tracking periods, but my team of stat ninjas hadn't fully infiltrated Japan yet.)
Nor I. And that's the first step in both of our recoveries. Being honest with ourselves.![]()
