Gee mpw, don't be such a post whore :)
Quite literally in fact:
...I guess I'll need to beat off arn over the next 6months...
...I dream of beating off jsw too.

:p

although I can see that stack of magazines under rdown's bed from here.

Who still uses magazines? rdowns' should be all digital by now. :D
I tend to post more in the colder months of winter and slack off during the summer.

Late October has been kinda busy for you too recently, hasn't it?
LOLYANKEES

So it means that sometimes, I do have a life.

I'm not very committed

Geez, can't a guy have a private life? :D

Meh, it only costs $25 for the peep show. ;)

After looking at that graph, who else thinks we need an "Abstract's post rate at the end of time" calculation? :D

We'd be getting into messy double-derivatives. Lets not go there.

I would like to be able to do the same for myself. Curious about that metric.
I'd like to see it for myself as well. I don't know if we'd be putting too much work on Doctor Q though. It's surprising the analysis we do get when this thread does roll around.

What surprises me the most is that the top posters settled down around the same post count.

Here are some members, with their post rates over the last 6 months shown in parens, for which I won't have sufficient predictive data until next time:
CalBoy (15.0 posts/day)
Teh Don Ditty (11.6 posts/day)
Markleshark (8.6 posts/day)
flopticalcube (7.0 posts/day)
jessica. (3.7 posts/day)

I have that data. TDD, teh Spammer++. :)

but remember kiddies, it's not all about post count http://up.*************/files/1/Images/Smilies/Dogeyes.gif

Lies. And from a mod. tsk tsk.

I'm proud that I'm managing to hold steady at my ranking. That's no small feat.

Thanks to Doc Q for compiling this data, as always.

I am curious to see my flow. Numbers and processes fascinate me. If I knew how to do this, I would gladly do it for myself.

Bite your tongue! :p

Seriously, just curious as I mentioned above. My posting is not affected by my post count -- other than I am sitting here thinking I need to get a life. ;)

I am sure that it takes quite a bit of effort to compile and analyze the data.

The history of raw fish

sushi's post rate has gone from 5.0 posts/day to 4.7 posts/day to 7.5 posts/day over the last 18 months. (The constant slope for the first 4+ years would probably be a curve if I had his data on him from earlier tracking periods, but my team of stat ninjas hadn't fully infiltrated Japan yet.)

I have the exact same interest. Back in my more active days I could easily spot trends from Forum Spy and had a long list of redundant yet interlinked threads.

Much more interesting times back then. :D

its awesome to see one's raw posting like that Q. i'd like to see mine, but heh, i know that everyone would like to see theirs like that too.

Dr. Q, thanks so much for showing the history of raw fish.

Guess raw fish is getting more common these days! ;)

It's so comforting that there are at least 50 of you sicker than I am.

edit: apparently I'm number 78. So there are 77 of you sicker than I. :p
