Since money is normally is not an issue with busy executives that live on their laptops, I surprised you think a iPad Pro is all they need. It's all about "multitasking" and authoring/editing business documents with presentation's usually. :D
That would be the 27 inch slick iMac. iPad and pencil is the strongest presenter hardware I know of (I am a teacher). A Magic keyboard would do the trick of documents on the go. These documents are low complexity and current Word on iPad is more than sufficient for that.

Why, why the white bezel? I had planned on moving towards a new Air potentially, but a white bezel? Nope.

I could just about abide white bezels but if there‘s a white notch as per the renders then Apple is dead to me.

I don't think you are giving these 2 products enough credit.

As for the MacBook, M1 MacBook Air is based on a 3rd generation design (2018) that enabled some improvements (smaller bezels, smaller footprint, Touch ID) but also some regressions (no 3rd USB/TB port, no MagSafe, no SD slot).

The 4th design could be more than just a fresh new coat of paint. MagSafe is all but assured, as well as few other surprises (and probably also the controversial Center Stage camera).

As for the AirPods Pro, it is rumored to significantly improve the noise cancelling algorithm. Coupled with the possibility of it using an alternate radio (UWB?) for lossless audio and redesign that could improve comfort, it could be a massive hit. AirPods 3 hasn't been the success Apple had hoped, so I think Apple is putting extra efforts to make it succeed.

These AirPod Pro sound very tempting - never got why anyone would want the „normal“ AirPods 3

But why?. More megapixels camera compared to a 3 years old competitor?. Pill shaped hole for Face ID?. Not really game changer features, from my point of view.
I mean, I will “update” my 13 pro to a 15 pro max, but really don’t see much value on that anymore.
The stuff I wanted is suspended at Apple (touch Id under display, periscope camera, good front facing camera, better portrait mode,
Why would you upgrade then? To add more e-waste?

The most exciting product for me wouldbe a better iPad OS, which is able to have an mac os mode/to start Mac OS Apps.

If so, Apple would get 2k from me for an 12,9" iPad Pro with Accessories.

I'm actually more excited for the iPhone this year than in recent years because of the camera upgrades, but we'll see.

Definitely picking up AirPods Pro 2 day one. I use the hell out of my AirPods Pro and I'm hoping they can improve the battery life by an hour, add the precision find my tracking, and improve the noise cancellation which has been kinda weird at times with my current gen and had to have one side replaced due to issues with noise cancelling static.

Icing on the cake would be a black colorway, any audio improvements, and first-party foam tips—even available as a separate purchase would be fine. I have some third party foam tips from Comply and they're fine but they eventually lose their ability to hold their snap onto the AirPod and makes it easier to lose.

I'm also looking forward to MagSafe charging as I have the first edition of the AirPods Pro before MagSafe was added in the revision. The bonus will be having two sets of AirPods Pro, as I will be able to use my old ones when mowing the lawn (less worried about losing or destroying) or to keep upstairs for when I'm too lazy to go get them from my studio. The batteries in these have definitely held up better than my original AirPods but it will be nice to have a fresh battery with hopefully even better battery life than the original when new.

Nope ?!because of the bezels and not of what this device can do?!
People these days still buy computers for design?!

Same year, bigger specs.

An exciting 2022 would see Apple remembering they are a software company as well as hardware. WatchOS is in need of an entire revamp, iOS (and Android) both need an overhaul to make them more useable on larger displays and they should bring out Final Cut for the iPad.

I would also like to see Aperture make a return with Mac and iPad versions so we don't have to suffer Lightroom and its bloody subscription model anymore.

I'd really like to see some software differentiators between the regular and pro iPhone lines. I am of the opinion (and others may disagree) that the current 'Pro' line is something of a gaslighting product. If offers a few 'nice to haves' but is 90% the same product as the regular line. It exists solely to make people subconciously think the regular iPhone is inferior and that to have the best they need to pay Apple more money without really getting much back. Compare this to the Galaxy S22 and the S22 Ultra where its clear you are getting more for your money

Apple could offer some exclusive apps (Aperture!) on the Pro models, proper manual camera controls, Pencil support, magnetic charging for the pencil on the Plus model, USB-C and so on.

There are plenty of ergonomic reasons why light bezels are better than dark ones. But I suspect that the rumored change is largely down to an aesthetic choice on Apple's part.

How about what we don't want to see? Top of my list: iOS16 and MacOS13. Let 2022 be the year where Craig has his team of developers fix iOS15 and MacOS12 instead of rolling-out new bugged-to-hell OS's nobody asked for and nobody wants.

I can hope.

Does it really matter if the updates are called iOS 16 or iOS 15.6 (macOS 12.5 or macOS 13)? You're asking for updates while at the same time complaining about them.

I still believe that the strange flat sided watch we saw last year, is the rugged watch before apple stick some resin type protection over it. Be interesting to see IF they bring out a rugged version and if that is the case (literally and figuratively)

Personally I’m looking forward to seeing the new MBA. However, I’m a big fan of the tapered design and I think I will most likely prefer the current “executive“ look in Silver or Space Gray versus colors mixed with white bezels.

iPhone doesn’t excite me this year, way too happy with my iPhone 13 and the 14 (regular) doesn’t appear to be any major improvement.

Because you can leave them in your ears without blocking outside sounds.

AirPods are good for everyday use, the Pros are good for listening to music.
but they have a good transparency setting, so I really do not see a drawback in using the Pros

I think the new MacBook Air is going to make a big splash. The M1 was a game changer and the M2 will just sweeten it. I’m interested to see how much better the M2 might be and if it might offer 32GB RAM as an option. Of course, I’m eager to see the M2 put into the iMac whenever that might be, sometime this year or next.

I will miss the tapered design as it was distinctive from everything else, but I welcome the colours and I suspect customers will, too.

Someone upthread lamented the lack of mention of a 27in. iMac. Unless there is a well kept surprise coming I think that ship has sailed.
