I'm no trump fanatic, but like it or not, that's EXACTLY how normal people behave, especially most politicians. People just don't want to admit it. True he sometimes lacks tact, but I'd rather have a president who says what's on his mind than one who plays word games and tries to portray themselves differently than the person they are behind closed doors.
I find it ironic that someone with "Unity" in their username thinks that any of the ways Trump acts is normal. Nothing about what he is doing is normal. I know 0 people that are as erratic, irrational, inconsistent, and narcissistic as he is. Those that try and normalize it are contributing to the damage it is causing now across the world.

Maybe he wanted to avoid having to go to Melania II sometime in the future!? He was definitely in the wrong place at the wrong time when he was at the premiere.

Is mocking a disabled journalist by waving his arms about simply lacking tact, or is it the puerile and crass action of a classless, offensive narcissist who shouldn’t be anywhere near public office? It’s a difficult one.

Oh we know, it’s just killing him is illegal. Not really sure it’s immoral at this point. I’ve never seen someone so openly selfish and narcissistic, especially in public.

Not bribing doesn’t take time, and Apple has plenty of legal resources to fight the tariffs in court. Obviously, the companies that did fight ended up winning.
I guess it is quite undeniable that Cook was a master of his craft even if some of us don’t agree with all of his direction choices.
Ternus is an interesting choice, being an engineer and hardware guy. I hold a faint hope that he might have a positive impact, perhaps towards stronger ”pro” line even if nothing points towards that right now. It is also reassuring that Siruji(sp?) stays onboard in a strong role.
What is unknown is if there is ”vision” though. Jobs was almost unique in his agressive intelligence and passion and together with Jony Ives obsessive character there was some true magic. There might be people like this in the company but perhaps not in roles where there is impact. Looking forward to the next few years and how the company presents itself.
As for the ”leader” quotations : perfectly aligned with the character of each one 🤣

I have no confusion on what ‘normal’ should be, but I was born at the tail end of an age where you didn’t back talk your mother. As a kid, you didn’t go and just touch anything and everything in a store, if you did you was likely to get your butt swatted right then and there.
Yet, my ‘normal’ is not today’s ‘normal’. I have yet to see a company refuse service to people going into stores looking like they just crawled out of bed, walking around half naked, having an odor so bad it burns other people’s noses, or slobbering all over merchandise etc.
My dad is a hoarder, which is a mental health issue, yet he and many people like him don’t see the issue. Talking with my aunts, the family wasn’t rich by any means but they didn’t go without ether from what I can gather. It boggles my mind where his issues came from, and it won’t accept it as an issue.
People have a normal close to mine, know Trump’s behavior isn’t ‘normal’, but he isn’t the only one that likes to be front and center of social media that isn’t our ‘normal’ but society does nothing but make them richer and bow down to them vs giving them a couple of these**.
Which is why I am curious what other people consider normal.

Elon Musk comes to mind.
Makes offer to buy company based out of Delaware, then tries to get out of the deal for one reason or another.
Then once he is forced to take purchase it, does something stupid and most companies stop advertising on the plateform and Elon sues or threatens to sue those companies. Sounds like bullying to me.
Yes. Innovation and excitement. While I'm delighted with how Cook has adroitly helped Apple go from strength to strength, he still seems fairly anodyne and bland compared to Jobs. I miss Apple keynotes that were actually exciting and surprising. These days they feel like they're being delivered by half-hypnotized accountants. Going from Jobs to Cook was like trading a Porsche GTS for a Toyota Camry: Good value for money, is reliable and runs great. But the driving experience hasn't been thrilling in a long time.

Nothing he says is the truth, and he is always self-aggrandizing. There is nothing good or normal about this presidency. He doesn’t “sometimes lack tact.” He deliberately flouts tact and wears his offensiveness and bullying as a badge of honor. He has diminished the standing, trustworthiness, and leadership of the USA in the world for years to come. Any attempt to normalize or accept this behavior is unAmerican.

Tim took over from Steve at a time when the eyes of the financial world (in the USA) were waiting for another Apple Crisis and possible Chapter 7. It didn't happen, and the rest is history. To me, that tells us that Steve was right in appointing Tim to replace him. He has taken the company to new heights. Has everything been perfect? Far from it, but Apple is a very different place from when he took over. The world is very different as well.
To me, the highlight was giving Intel the finger and releasing the M series around the time that COVID was rampaging around the world. I have no fear about running out of charge on my M5 MBP on a normal day of work.
A lot of the Apple products that have been released in recent years are not my thing, but we are all different people.
