I would say mine works 99% of the time the 1% being my fault and not getting my finger enough to cover the entire sensor.

After I readjust my finger it always works on the very next try!

Couldn't be happier

I do agree it is more accurate. Sadly it is still finicky in the gym with a sweaty thumb. I realize that it just a limitation of the tech. Maybe someday it won't be.

Pretty sick of it sometimes to be honest. It works for 100% dry, clean people working at an office. But if you're at the gym or work outdoors or just took your hands out of gloves and they're a little bit moist, etc, it's simply going to refuse to work.

If anything I think the iPhone 5s sensor worked better.

Touch ID is great, my iPhone 6 is the first device I have used with it. It varies, sometimes it unlocks so fast the screen is still fading on when the animation is going, and other times it is a bit slow, or throws a "Try Again".

Sweaty or just slightly clammy hands screws with Touch ID the most for me though. That probably is when I get 75-90% of my Touch ID failures. Stinks though because I am a pretty nervous person, and my biggest sign or nervousness is clammy hands.

Touch ID is still a pleasure to use nonetheless. Still haven't been able to make an App Store purchase with it though, I don't get apps too often and usually my phone has been restarted by the time I decide I want to download an app again.

This is my first iPhone with Touch ID i had iPhone 5 before. I got my iPhone 6 wednesday I love Touch ID so far it haven't failed once. I just need to getting use to put the finger on the home button instead of swiping. it's nice and fast.

I agree. I used to have two prints taken of the same thumb stored to increase TouchID accuracy on my 5s. On the 6, it's 100% accurate right out of the box with just one print stored (except for the rare occasions when my hand is wet but that's expected).

Agreed I don't know what apple upgraded but it's a killer feature imho. I use 1password so all of my passwords are saved and I feel confident my data is safe for most thieves. Now the nsa is a different issue. But touchID is a killer feature for me. I don't even have to enter my 4 pin password unless my hands are wet ☺️

Sorry but unless you do not use your phone much I got to call BS to the 100% thing.

The best I can get is 4 out of 5 and on some days worst than that and that is with my thumb registered three times.

100% . . . . Not!

Wondering if there is a step by step on how to do this?

When my phone is on sleep, I click the button at the bottom of the 6 to wake the phone, then I try to go through with TouchID, it never works and forces me into the numbered passcode.
