Unfortunately, I don't think so.... Sorry! I was hoping that it would remember new words (like my e-mail address) after I typed them several times, but it doesn't seem to. I can put up with that, though, as for pretty much any dictionary word, as well as many proper names, the prediction is really great.

yea I think the only fault with this keyboard is that it doesn't save your search

This is very buggy on my 4s. Keyboard freezes and switches back and forth a lot.

yea now that it saves it's pretty useable now. I also just comes out you can drag the suggestion bar up to move it out off the way. Not a bad alternative

I just wish it would do periods automatically when you press space twice. also wish it would auto capitalize

Thank you for this. I've always loved Swype on android and this is the closest thing i can get to it. Now, I wish someone could translate the settings for touchpal. The only one I know is the first setting which is "keyboard sound"... I'm trying to translate the settings and will be posting on here if I do get them translated... I'm really curious as to what the settings really are...cuz theres quite a bunch of settings.

Okay. This should help out a lot of you guys. Here's an image I made with the translation.

Here's my advice. Turn off handwriting filter (Not needed because you're not writing in Chinese). Turn ON the advanced prediction bar!! This makes the bar stick to your keyboard. It was such a pain in the butt to have to keep moving the bar around because it never remembered where you last put it. The bar also makes you have a button for settings and a night mode/ day time mode button. The translation I got for the "automatic space" doesn't seem to be for automatic spacing.. I turned it off and it doesn't turn off automatic spacing. Turn off mixed input between English and Chinese. You don't need it. Make sure to keep "tap keyboard to input" on if you want to keep swyping. If you disable it, you won't be able to swype. I'm still unsure about the "suggestions" tab. I tried the three different options and could not find a difference with any of them. Neither did I really understand the meaning of the translation. No need to fiddle with anything else. City vocabulary is just a bunch of vocabulary for the different cities in China. The list was obviously just a bunch of cities and did not want to translate all of them. If someone could help me out with the translation of "Automatic Space" and "Suggestions" that'd be great. The hard part of translating Chinese is finding the English meaning. Hope this helps some of you guys! :)

For everyone who is Searching Cydia for TouchPal, you won't find it. The name of the app actually starts with Chinese letters. So you need to actually go into the BigBoss repo and scroll down to his Chinese letters. You'll find it there.

Haven't installed this yet, might give it a try when I have time. But the "automatic space" seems to say "automatically insert space in English." I'm guessing that means if you type two words together without a space inbetween, then it automatically adds a space. Are you saying it does this no matter if it's set at on or off?

As for Suggestions, the word you translated as "link" means something like "word association" or "prediction" in this context. So it has three modes of predicting what you type. If you are not seeing any difference, then perhaps the different modes only make a difference when inputting Chinese?

Wow, this works shockingly well. I've been waiting for a decent swype port for so long.

Wow thanks so much for the translation macattosh1234!! That actually is amazingly helpful.

Glad you guys are enjoying the keyboard. I use it all the time now and I have very few complaints. I definitely like it better than the standard iPhone keyboard.

I really like this keyboard. But whenever I tried to use it in BiteSMS quick compose or quick comply it was buggy as hell. Plus it's not completely compatible with SwipeSelection which I can live with. But the fact it didn't play nice with BiteSMS is kind of a deal breaker. Maybe I could try the new tweak Messages from the same dev as bulletin. That is actually a really good looking tweak. It has a trial too. Maybe ill try that and see if TouchPal works with it.

Did anyone else experience the bugs in BiteSMS when using touchpal?

The ONLY thing I miss w/ Android is 'Swype' and this replicates it very well minus the non-capitalization bug/glitch. Way better than iswipe (hot garbage).

Only thing needed now is English menu and support.

This is a great find! Thank you Macattosh for the translation. I'm swipping right now as a type!

    ----------

Is there a way to enable the mic without pressing the globe and going back to English keyboard?

As much as I feel interested in using it, what if it's sending our keystrokes to servers? Just genuinely concerned.

anyone else having problems with bitesms quick reply? The swype works but I have to click each work to put it into my message. Works fine in notes app, I can swype word after word without having to click which word I want.

EDIT: now it's working for some reason but resprings my phone when I close the quick reply window.

See post #43. I removed it. It didn't like BiteSMS QC and QR.
