I do wish it would have stayed active until the results were complete, and even until the next morning. Disappeared about 1 AM EST for me. Then I had to start opening (disorganized) news apps for updates.

Valley is coming back to its logical sense. Finally! No more fake political correctness and divisiveness. Let’s all move forward to more free speech with real respect and all opinions heard without labelling and hate.

We should implement a negative vote our elections. If enough people use the negative votes on both the D's and R's, we would finally have a viable 3rd party option.

I voted Bernie Sanders even though he isn't on the ballot.🤨
what you are talking about is rank-choice voting. Missouri just voted to ban it. so don't expect it anytime soon. we might have had our last presidential election anyway.

No. An actual negative vote, one that negates a vote casted for that candidate. What we have now, if you hate both candidate, you vote for the one you hate less (or throw your vote away on a 3rd Party). The negative vote you get to voice you displeasure with a particular candidate in a meaningful way.

oh i get ya.

Preferably, I'd like a rank choice system; it would get rid of the whole tedious primary system for one, plus we need to box in what a campaign is. this thing where a re-election campaign happens as soon as they step in needs to end. I'd limit the time frame of campaigns as well as how much is allowed to be spent. "you are allowed 100 million, see what you can do with it."

but as we just saw, campaigns and rallies don't matter.

but to get back into rank choice, I'd extend it to the House and Senate as well. Drive everything away from 2 sided conversation as pretty much everything is so much more nuanced. What also would be nice is if policy was also user-driven, like product design. run surveys, test ideas at a small scale, and then roll them out.

Trump and Harriss differ on social issues, but on economic issues, they both are mostly the same, especially in the sense that they would allow morbidly rich greedy corporate exectutives (like Tim Cook) to get even richer by supporting policies aimed to transfer wealth from the bottom to the top, and to exploit the working class, and supporting the interests of Wall Street over the interests of ordinary people.
