Thanks! Whew. This is going to be one long as night watching Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona, and Nevada.

Good luck to both candidates!

Yep. I will never donate again. Unless it’s happening anyway which sounds like might be the case. I’m even reporting the wrong things as junk by habit at this point.
I got all but 3 political text and I donate. I use hide my email and use a burner phone number that I erase after (any free phone app will give you a texting number :))

So far with only two exceptions (technical issue in PA and a bomb threat in GA), everything has been going well.

Well, to my knowledge, there is one thing that could last from our civilization and expand over the universe: AI.

If the current AI race continues, and we develop super intelligence able to develop even more intelligent machines/beings, they will probably be able to leave this planet and expand beyond the limits of our system, galaxy, or even cluster.

Time is not a problem for AI, as it doesn’t age. The silicon components may, but I’m sure super intelligent AIs will find a way to build and maintain servers for millennia, unlike us that build a machine expecting it to break after a few years to incentivize consumption.

I think this is the most likely scenario, some scientists think it’s the next big step in human evolution. All of our collective Intelligence leaves the biological meat sacks we live in and moves on into mechanical ones, no more disease or need for food. It would solve a lot of problems with space travel as well as we wouldn’t need oxygen, food, or water for long trips. They wouldn’t be as susceptible to the dangers of space travel and different planets as well.

Of course, this all depends on if humans survive long enough for this to happen, and depending on what happens today, you know.

I just enabled this for my 16PM. Interested in tracking the results now that Election Day is here! As for what others are saying about the Spam texts, I agree: totally ridiculous and unwanted. Should be actions to prohibit them from happening. I never asked to receive them and I report al of them as Spam.

I turned this on earlier, but on second thought I think I’m going to disable it. I’m probably going to do a complete news/internet/social media detox tonight. I’ll check the results in the morning.

It's now live on Apple News in the UK.
Yes! I'm on an iPhone 15 on the UK's EE network, no VPN, British English, not an Apple News subscriber.... works fine now.

Interesting to see "EE 4G" and the US election on the AOD lol. Cool feature I'll keep it up on my phone despite watching this election closely.

I'm not usually one to accuse Apple of ulterior motives, but I do wonder if they did this knowing that about half the phones in the country are going to be upgrade candidates tomorrow due to broken screens.

Only question really is which half...

I am really happy with how this widget was produced and available to non-subscribers to Apple News.

Def would like to see more features like this. It is nice for an at-a-glance reference to the active status!

OT . Love the Avatar, my avatar is from a CTR2 image I took over a decade ago. Ignore the pumpkin ;)
