Actually, I needed Apple to jump into this game due to it seemingly not appealing to everyone. Apple will make this appealing and I do not say this often, but I am definitely purchasing their best AR/VR headset anytime one is released. I have been waiting years for some major company w/ less bloatware etc. to get this right. This should be their next best selling product after the iPhone (Ready to pay my $3000 to $5000 anytime Apple)

If Apple is trademarking, this is almost potentially finalized and they know they have something innovative in their pocket finally. No offense to other AR/VR companies, we just need Apple to get it right and then I can also buy Samsung's version after they get one to rival Apple's. Both headsets will be very much appreciated by myself.

Just think??? (socializing on the headset, partying in different VR environments; interacting w/ people u surely probably wouldnt get a chance to interact with, music/clubbing without going to a actual bar/club, gaming aargh I wish they purchased EA, attending classes in the headset for certain people (get rid of actually physically attending the expensive universities and make it cheaper for the new generation), interacting w/ family in other countries, MAKING REALISTIC AVATARS OF YOURSELF, just so many different uses!!!)

BTW Meta/Oculus will never get any of my money; I hope Apple and Samsung shut them out of the AR/VR business.
I agree that Apple must see this as the big project category after the iPhone.

Is a virtual university possible? What about live events where you pay for a seat? These experiences could be exclusive to VR. Could some of these experiences be better than in-person? Certainly the cost for attending them would be much lower because there wouldn’t be all of the other costs associated with having an in-person event.

How much customization will they give you to design your own avatar? They already know that customization is important to their users, so I assume there will be lots of options.

I think the anticipation of this unveiling event will be higher than even the original iPhone event.

You’re right. It didn’t. I’ll go back and the word “most.” Sure, we can all easily make a list of their flops. But their track record with redefinition is unlike anyone I can recall.

And you’ll see the flops outnumbered the successes.

If Apple really wants this to be a success ultimately, then they're going to have to get into gaming for it on some level. Gamers would drive adoption of this device if Apple could find a way to reach that market.

All price dependent. Not everything apple does is a home run. Take the HomePod and airpod max for example. Over priced for the market and not everyone falls for the apple tax.
The HomePod may not have been designed as a surround sound home speaker system but it would have fit the bill and not been much if any more expensive than Sony HTA9 sound systems are now, and it would have beaten them to market. Toss MP3 based sound compression protocols in favor of FLAC or ALAC (FLAC actually has more data bits available but either is CD quality) and you would have had an entertainment sound system. I heard that they are bringing the full sized HomePod back around Christmas and I’m wondering if Apple can possibly be as brain dead a second time and basically just re-release the same basic speaker with the same degraded sound format a second time.

I have confidence that they can.

The reality is my wallet says no at that price point
You and 80-90% of the buying public. People may WANT to buy in but the financial problems it will cause many people will either prevent them from buying in the first place or make them sell at a loss(and have to live with the consequences for a while) when the payment comes due every month and they can’t afford it.

Both are still one of the best products apple made and everyone who has one of them, loves them. But yeah, priced high and not enough buyers.

I heard from news channels that arcade stores are upgrading to VR and AR technologies by acquiring devices like the google glasses and ocular tech. Can anyone here tell me what arcade store(s) uses google glasses and ocular tech?

Google Glass is defunct.

Oculus are used in some PC game rooms but Dance Dance Revolution is the most popular game you see in any arcade for so many years now. I played Sega VR 30 years ago in the arcades. It was terrible.
