Assuming you mean Time Capsule? That would be cool. Also would be nice if it were a centralized HomeKit solution running on Apple TV :D

I wonder if they will start making Time Machine backups available through the cloud? 2TB tier should be enough for most people...
Sorry, yes Time Capsule That tier was another thing I considered too, and it would be nice but if my Mac did go kaput then I don't fancy downloading 500+ gb of data lol.

If only people would remember that Apple trademarks countless terms that they never end up using. Just because they've trademarked a term does not mean it'll be part of a product at any point in time.

Reminds me of when I searched the Chinese Trademark office years ago. Here are some of the names that Apple had registered there, possibly to throw people off before the iPad came out.

IPOD PAD
IPOD SLATE
IPOD TAB
IPOD TABLET

APPLE PAD
APPLE SLATE
APPLE TAB

Kudos to him for doing his search. It took me quite a few hours of research and thinking back when I did my list of just some "i" trademarks that preceded and followed Apple's 1998 "iMac", as recorded in this post:

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/i-trademark.1846847/#post-22093310

(Many people incorrectly think that Apple invented "i" names, when in fact it was quite a popular product designation during the entire 1990s, and was actually going out of style by the time that Apple's ad agency talked Jobs into using it for the iMac. And thank goodness, since Jobs wanted to use "MacMan". We could now be using a "PhoneMan" and a "PadMan". Woof.)

Presumably that was to get ahead of the knockoffs that would inevitably follow.

Iris engine could be something beyond biometric scanning and provide some new graphics feature (HDR perhaps) in the same way Hi-Res has been designated Retina?

Trademark lawyer Brian Conroy today shared the culmination of months of intensive research on Apple trademarks

Dude needs a wo/man, badly
Fixed that for you.

My money is on some way to put positive spin at phasing out discrete gpus across the line. Iris is the name of the integrated graphics chip in a lot of the Intel cpu products apple is using.
Seriously if I can not buy a dgpu in my next iMac, I just might not get a next iMac. I already can't get a dgpu in my perfered screen size 21.5 inches. That is kinda ******** if you ask me. If Apple remove the dgpu totally from the 27 inch too, I'll be really pissed.

Luckily, I'm not in/from your country (where a far bigger problem is your [lack of] adequate gun control)!
Typical assumption that everything revolves around 'merica

I am Australian. In Australia we have very good gun control.

Don't assume cause I use a Trump picture, that I am from the USA.
