Because carrier will lock you in for 36 months.Carriers usually have the best deals. Last year, I bought a used 6S for $30, and traded it in for $600.![]()
True. Luckily I was able to pick 24 months, and I only upgrade every two or three years anyway.Because carrier will lock you in for 36 months.
Never sell your car back to the dealerWow. iPhones drop value so fast.
If this is peanuts according to you then I guess I can expect to get 10x more in a "marketplace". 🤣 I'll be getting more money then what I paid for.Just sell it on whatever marketplace is the most popular in your country. 2nd value is very high for Apple products.
Apple pays peanuts.
They will ask for serial number. If you go through the Apple Store app on the phone you want to trade in, the app will pull all the info from your phone so you will be good to go. At least it did for me.
If you’re looking to sell yourself, I recommend you don’t use eBay. Instead, use Swappa. Was wondering if I should use the trade-in program for my XS Max or try to sell it myself. EBay prices look to be in the $240-$370 range vs Apple’s $210 offer.
Don’t think the extra money is worth the hassle of dealing with flaky people or trying to ship it in person.
They will ask for serial number.
I ordered two this morning - one was my trade and one was my wife's. It knew mine of course, but no requirement to enter anything other than the model for hers (which is under her own Apple ID).As Gator5000e said, when you use the Apple App on the phone you are trading in, you won't have to enter in the serial number since it will ask you if the phone you are trading in is the same phone you are using, and it will read all the info in automatically.
That is what happened when I did it.
Carrier deals are so good!
No they won’t; as long as you’re logged in to the website with your Apple ID. I don’t use the app bc you can’t get the military and veteran discount. You have to order everything from the full website. I preordered at 8 am eastern. Didn’t ask for anything except the fact if I’m trading or not and once I selected yes it showed “iPhone 13 pro 256” that’s it. So it was quite quick and easy this yearThey will ask for serial number.
I always trade in store. I think I mailed one iPhone and one MacBook over the years. Very nerve wracking. I just take my phone with me on launch day to pick up preorder. I mention I want to trade. They always give me the max which the site quoted. And it comes off the top of the price right there. Takes 5 mins. They barely look at it. They make sure it functions and isn’t cracked or swollen. It takes more time to sign the trade in agreement than it does to inspect. I wouldn’t even use the word “inspect” honestlyCan I take the trade in into the retail store or does it have to be mailed in?
I have to go back to my receipt from last year bc I feel trade in values were higher. I feel I got closer to $700 for my 12 pro last year. I was offered $600 for my 256GB 13 pro this year.
