Hi Sheza,

Just trying those backgrounds on the ipad 2 that you did again. The first one is very nearly right, is it possible to change very slightly? What software do you use to edit them?

The icons need moving towards the edges very slightly. I may have a go.

This blurring does look awesome :)

If I were any good at geometry, I'd figure out what I'd need to do to get it right. But alas I'm not, and I don't have an iPad for trial and error. I imagine all you need to do is crop the image in some way. I use Adobe Photoshop for these, you're welcome to have your .psd file to try and edit it.

EDIT: Tried something. Want to test it?

Unfortunately geometry is not my strong point either :)

You've done an awesome job, without being able to test it is tough.

I will try and get photoshop and give it a go.

The iphone one you did is bang on :)

Sheza,

That one works, I can size and move it to be perfect.

Brilliant job :)

Thank you.

Credit of the idea (at least, where I found it) goes to Thierry ba

Hi there, the person above posted a unique lock screen wallpaper in the iOS 7 Screenshots thread. It showed the home screen with its icons and wallpaper, blurred in the iOS 7 style, with a white Apple logo on top. It was an interesting concept.
I've since had a go at making some and received many requests in that thread. OafTobark suggested that I make a thread for requests, so here I am. See below for examples.

To help speed up the process, it would be great if you could provide me with:
  • The original wallpaper image
  • An image of your icon layout on a contrasting background. What I mean by this is a background, as simple as possible, that is different in colour to the majority of your icons. The simple gradiented wallpapers provided in iOS 7 are good enough. This makes cutting out your grid much easier.
  • Specific details as mentioned below. For parallax to work I need to create a larger image overall, or the grid will look out of proportion (unless you have it turned off!).

NOTE: I see sometimes people are requesting both here and in the larger wallpaper request thread. I don't have any problems with the people that do good work in the wallpaper request thread, but it ends up being a waste of time for one of us if you request in both threads. Thanks.

If you will, please follow this format:

Code:
[B]Original wallpaper:[/B]
[B]Home screen[/B]:
[B]Parallax[/B]: (Yes/No)
[B]Blur:[/B] (Describe level of blur, see examples)
[B]Apple logo:[/B] (Yes/No/Specify Colour)

For those of you that have Photoshop and would like to try this, here's a set of instructions:

P.S. How useless is the CODE function? I thought the whole point is that BB code doesn't affect what is in CODE tags.

Wallpaper: 101@2x~iphone.png
HS: Image - Oct 10, 2013 19.42.38.png
Parallax: Yes
Blur: Default
Apple logo: yes, white, blue, yellow, red, green, orange (sorry!)

I'm probably going to sound really stupid but how do you take a screenshot of the wallpaper with nothing on? When I go to the wallpaper settings it shows a preview of what it will look like but can't seem to find just the wallpaper by itself.

Well if it's one of the default wallpapers in iOS7 then don't worry, I have all of those. If not, then you should have the wallpaper since you must have got it from somewhere :p

Hmm, that's not a default wallpaper as far as I can see...

Strange it's part of the default ones that came with ios 7 on mine . Anyway I managed to find it through google :)
