Here I found a different way to use the Kinetic latch, works great for typing on the on-screen keyboard giving a perfect angle.

Looks good MacDaddy... Any issues so far with iPad falling out of your Treegloo case or not fitting securely?

Problem with Camera Port

Hi everyone,

This is my first time posting. After reading this thread, I ordered my Treegloo case on 4/1/11. After changing to Kinetic latch and multiple delays, I received my case yesterday. I like it a lot but I seem to have a problem with the Camera Port. I am attaching a picture I took of a wall with the iPad2 inside the case. As you can see, it seems that a portion of the lens is covered or blocked on the left top and bottom and some on the top right. I have tried re-inserting the iPad into the case a couple of times, following the instructions. One time, I slide the iPad top down inside the top section of the case and then pushed all corners into place. Another time, I placed the iPad on the case and then pushed the top portion down first before pushing the lower section. Both times, I got the blockage. I have now tried repositioning a few times with no change.

Subsequently, I noticed what might be causing the problem. There may be a slight flaw in the seam along the wood near the camera port. In the second photo, you can see that the wood area next to the camera port is raised (i.e., space below the thin wood that is above the bottom of the case). You can also see that wood on one side of the camera port is higher than the other side. The wood along this side (near volume control slot) is raised higher than any of the other wood areas. In fact, all of the other wood pieces are mostly flat against the bottom whereas the side where the volume slot is located is raised.

Is anyone else having a problem with the camera port? Is the seam I indicated above similar to anyone else?

Thanks.

This is getting very aggravating. I got the run around, "It will ship this week; Sorry it didn't ship last week, we promise it will ship this week; Hit a brick wall but it will DEFINITELY ship this week." So on, so on. I have a Kindle case ordered as well. Monday they tell me my iPad case is complete and they will "check" on my Kindle case. Wednesday they say they will ship my iPad case now and my Kindle later. As of today I still have got no shipping confirmation on any of my cases. I've waited so long but I keep feeling like it will ship any moment so I don't cancel. Though it never ships. I don't know how long they can keep stringing me along...

I went with Treegloo over Portenzo because I wanted my case sooner. I'm now seeing Portenzo customers who ordered after I did getting their cases. My Treegloo is still MIA.

Google Checkout sent me an email asking me to rate my shopping experience. What's a fair rating for ordering almost 4 weeks ago and not having the product despite a 7-10 business day shipping estimate?

This is tough, I want to give them the benefit of the doubt but I've been getting the run-around as well. They told me my case would ship last Thursday, then this week they apologized said for SURE on Tuesday, and as of today I've heard nothing.

I'm beginning to feel like a previous poster said where I can understand delays and being unprepared for a flood of orders, but don't lie to me. If you commit to doing something on certain day, you need to do it. Don't sleep until 3am the night before if that's what it takes, but get it done.

I run across this in my work life all the time. If I commit to getting something done on a certain day 95% of the time I will stay up very late into the night completing it. 5% of the time I don't finish it but when I don't finish, I write an email to the expecting party saying "I know I promised you this today but I need 2 more days to get it to you". They've never sent me that kind of email, I've had to go chasing them when they don't meet their commitments.

I'll probably give them until Monday then I'll open a PayPal complaint about not receiving my item.

I have been told the exact same thing the past two weeks. Glad I am not the only one. Heck I ordered this case along with the Portenzo and guess what I got the Portenzo first

Portenzo and Treegloo have been ebbing and flowing on shipping for the last few months....now Portenzo is getting the shipments out and TG is slowing....4 weeks ago you could not get an answer out of Portenzo and everything was at a standstill. Now TG has the problem. They have now changed their website to a promise date of 2 -4 weeks from the 14 day window they had out there.I suspect it will go this way for a while until both companies settle into a groove.

The star here is Pad and quill - they shipped in a reasonable time and had no holdups. By reducing the options and keeping the cases simple and quality, they beat the other two in this business model.

They may ship faster, but their cases are simply unappealing. I'd rather wait the extra time for a better case.

I disagree - I own all 3, and the Octavo is a fine case - certainly in the hunt with the other two....if fact, the only one so far with an internal doc pocket.

I am glad you got yours. I have been promised mine formtwo straight weeks now. Was told for a fact imwould have mine this week. Still no case. They started out answering emails within an hour. Now inam lucky if I even get a reply. I ordered a Portenzo pad and quill and dodocase. Inhale all those. Inthought in would have gotten this case first. I think all these guys are just overwhelmed.

Got my case on Wed and so far so good. Build quality is very good and once the ipad is in the case it is very hard to get out.

Was wondering what colors and options you got...

I ordered a 23.5 Portenzo but that company is a joke so I decided to go with Treegloo.

Went w/
Magnetic Cover
Hot Wasabi Green
Purple interior
Natural wood

Should I get the accents?

yes - holds it in better and covers some seams...

Hi Glen I don't see any elastic strap or kinetic latch on your case - did you get the magnetic closure? If so how do you like it - any regrets? I have the same thing on order should arrive any (cough, cough) day now...
