I received my cases Saturday and so far I love mine. Here are some pics of mine:
Black iPad 2
Mad Midnight cover
Natural wood frame
Kinetic latch
Orange Leader cloth interior with camera port

GO GATORS!

Here I found a different way to use the Kinetic latch, works great for typing on the on-screen keyboard giving a perfect angle.

Is it just me or is the frame not in straight, or is it just a crappy job of the inside interior. It looks like the frame is not in square.

I have two treegloos and they are both perfectly square...

THats good to know Glen I am just wondering about Macdaddy' case since the interior color shows on one corner under the frame and not on the other. Look at the pics good man.

Hi everyone,

This is my first time posting. After reading this thread, I ordered my Treegloo case on 4/1/11. After changing to Kinetic latch and multiple delays, I received my case yesterday. I like it a lot but I seem to have a problem with the Camera Port. I am attaching a picture I took of a wall with the iPad2 inside the case. As you can see, it seems that a portion of the lens is covered or blocked on the left top and bottom and some on the top right. I have tried re-inserting the iPad into the case a couple of times, following the instructions. One time, I slide the iPad top down inside the top section of the case and then pushed all corners into place. Another time, I placed the iPad on the case and then pushed the top portion down first before pushing the lower section. Both times, I got the blockage. I have now tried repositioning a few times with no change.

Subsequently, I noticed what might be causing the problem. There may be a slight flaw in the seam along the wood near the camera port. In the second photo, you can see that the wood area next to the camera port is raised (i.e., space below the thin wood that is above the bottom of the case). You can also see that wood on one side of the camera port is higher than the other side. The wood along this side (near volume control slot) is raised higher than any of the other wood areas. In fact, all of the other wood pieces are mostly flat against the bottom whereas the side where the volume slot is located is raised.

Is anyone else having a problem with the camera port? Is the seam I indicated above similar to anyone else?

Thanks.

The raised wood in the second picture just looks like a quality issue as does the camera hole. The second pic also makes it look like the grommet that is supposed to act as a dust seal and I stress supposed to because it sits to low to actually touch the bottom of your I-Pad, is instered to match the contours of the cut out of the wood. Problem is that I suspect that the hole is actually off some and the inside bottom edge of the grommet is what you are seeing in your pic.

Finally got my Treegloo after a 5 week wait. My Kindle case still had no expected ship date so I canceled the order. The Kinectic latch is very nice. It holds a good typing position and landscape position with the latch. Sleep/wake works well. Overall it is a nice case. I do have some complaints.

The case is way thicker than it needs to be. I have the iPad pressed into the case and there is about 3mm of case from the iPad to the edge of the case. Why add unnecessary thickness?

There is no room around the headphone jack. My jack for my s4i earphones barely fit. There is no way my Senheisser HD555s would fit as they have a 1/4" jack with a 1/8" adapter. The Senns are my home cans so this case is a no go at home.

The spine "buckles" when it is folded. There was a thread comparing the Treegloo to the Portenzo and the reviewer had the same issue. Treegloo said it was a defect, so I'll email them and see what they say.

Overall, I'd probably go with Portenzo if I had to do it again. I wanted my case quickly so that's why I went with treegloo. Since they took LONGER than Portenzo I would definitely not go with them again. The quality is much lower. The only plus of the Treegloo is the kinectic latch. It's much better than any elastic and holds the iPad in the different viewing positions.

Ipad will not stay

After about 2 weeks of use, my Ipad is so loose that I am afraid to use this case. I have emailed them to see if I can get a replacement. After waiting so long to finally receive it, I can't even use it :(

hey guys, I posted pics of two of my cases earlier in this thread that I have since gotten replaced (rubber corner issues and shake test failure). Amanda emailed me and said she'd replace them with no problem, I asked to upgrade to suede accents and she told me that they'd be on the house (this was really nice of her). I decided to place an order for 2 more cases (one for me, one for the girlfriend) and those 2 cases, along with my replacements came in today. The replacement cases are of good construction and the suede accent keeps them in a lot better than my first 2 cases ordered.

My third case is a unicorn white exterior with an all black inside
My girlfriend's case has a custom black fabric exterior and storm (i think?) interior. I really like this fabric exterior but I don't think it's my cup of tea.

I just cannot believe that you all except that as quality, when the second picture looks like the edge if the case is a wave of fabric. I see something simular in the second picture of the Unicorn case. maybe it is just the device taking the picture but that would just be unexceptable for me.

How did you get a custom fabric exterior? That is awesome!

What was the extra cost?

Whoa, no extra charge? This just keeps getting better :p

Since I'm still waiting on replies from the other companies, I will send one their way too.

Btw, thanks for the fast reply!

No problem, they mentioned they wanted to include it as a regular option but I say just go ahead and shoot them an email, or even post on their facebook wall if you have a Facebook (you'll see another picture of the fabric exterior case on their wall too)

Got my case at the end of last week. Here's a quick review:

Likes:
-Price
-Fit is snug, but not too snug (good since I want to remove the ipad occasionally)
-Janky homemade quality (I sort of like that it's got a little personality in its aesthetic imperfections)
-Classy color combo

Dislikes:
-Took about 7 weeks to arrive
-Order was screwed up (was supposed to have magnetic latch) though to be fair, I told Treegloo that was fine and that I'd keep it so long as they refunded the cost of the latch option
-Cover has a little play, which means that the magnet for the screen lock easily slides around and turns the screen on and off (it seems like this style of case from many manufacturers have this problem to some extent)
-Typing angle position is too shallow, though this is more Apple's problem for making the ipad too damn thin

Since I generally like the look and functionality of the case and haven't seen a similar case that doesn't also have it's own quirks, I'm going to keep this and maybe make some of my own modifications. Although I want to protect my ipad, it's really only for carrying it around that I worry about it (i.e. walking between buildings on campus). If I didn't also want a stand of some kind, I would have just gotten a sleeve.
As for those mods, I'm probably going to add the magnets that I originally wanted anyway since I think that will help reduce the play of the cover. Also, I'm going to try my hand at making a flap that folds in and out of the case to prop it into a better typing stand (kind of like how MacDaddy08 folded his kinetic latch in on his gators case).

This is a follow-up on my initial post on my camera hole problem. After my post, I received an email from Treegloo indicating their willingness to replace my defective case. So far, so good. Unfortunately, since then I have only been receiving emails from them that it will be sent soon. Each time, the promised date comes and goes. I have emailed a number of times but no result. Has anyone else been having this problem? Thanks for your response.

I got a response back on 5/17 stating that they would send me a replacement case. I have sent 2 emails since then with no response! I'm so tempted to order a case from someone else.

I ordered mine on March 30th, its been over two months and nothing. Hell i havent even goten an email in 3 weeks. this really getting to me..did they run an take all the money..?

Did you order a lot of custom work? I ordered 2 cases on March 30th and received both of them on May 1st. If ordered the same day and you still don't have your case I would be raising hell with them, or cancelling my order and going with someone else.

I also contacted them on the same exact day I received my cases because the corner of the wood frame on one of my cases was slightly separated. Although it still holds the iPad in just fine, I thought that over time it may not hold up so well. I was emailed back the same day saying that a replacement would be placed into production that week and I would receive a shipping notice in about a week. I contacted them again a couple of weeks ago after not hearing anything and I was told it would be shipped no later than May 27th. I contacted them again last Wednesday about it and haven't even received a response. Well....I still don't have a replacement or a shipping notice and it's been over a month yet again.

I love both of the cases. However, if I had to do this all over again knowing what I know now, I would go with a different case. I understand they have a large demand but if the demand is so big that it's making them months behind then they need to move the establishment from the garage to an actual work environment and hire some help.

I emailed Treegloo a few days ago to check status. I received a response back in just a matter of hours. I responded back, thanking them for their reply, and letting them know that an additional return reply was not necessary. Even with my notion that they need not spend their time to email me again, I still got another reply back from Andrew within a matter of minutes.

Not saying this is the case for everyone, but perhaps some of you aren't getting response because of the tone or content of your emails. The adage goes "You'll catch more flies with honey than with vinegar."

Just some food for thought.

I sent a simple, polite email over a week ago--my first one since ordering--and have received no response. FYI--I ordered April 18.

All of my emails so far have been polite and understanding. The great majority of my past emails have been answered by Treegloo within 1 day, it's just my recent ones that have gone unanswered.

If my emails continue to go unanswered they aren't going to be so polite much longer though. Communication is huge in business and even if what you have to communicate isn't what the customer wants to hear, it's better than no communication at all.

To date, the last email I received from Treegloo was on May 23rd. I emailed them 6 days ago asking for an update and have not heard back. I'm going to email them again asking for a status update today, hopefully they respond this time.

I just received a response within 2 hours of my last email saying my replacement case would ship no later than tomorrow and apologizing for the delayed response.

That's all it takes.

Same here. I just emailed them again this morning about my replacement case. I'm hoping I hear from them soon. I am going out of town Sunday and was hoping to have it by then, but it's not looking good.

EDIT: Just received an email stating that they are working a new batch of frames that will be completed towards the end of the week.
