It's convenient to believe what youwant, but all I did was ask for some changes my company wanted. They did it. I believe the pad and quill, portenzo and TG are good cases. My problem with you is you don't own squat.

And the company that asked me to help design does not make a iPad case.

I own all 3 - how about you?

Case received Friday. Some quality issues that need to be addressed so I will post pics once resolved. Customer service has been responsive.

Treegloo: Not Impressed.

I ordered my Treegloo case on 5/11 and got the 2-4 week message everyone seems to have received. I emailed after 6 weeks and asked for an update; within a couple hours I was told it would ship soon. Last week, 8 weeks after I placed my order I demanded either a tracking number on a shipped case or a refund. Tomorrow will be 9 weeks since I placed the order and I've received no correspondence from Treegloo. I just asked PayPal for a refund.

This has been a very disappointing experience.

I wish I could relate.

It looks like it would be a nice case. I was really looking forward to sharing my satisfaction with it. Problem is, I never received it so I wouldn't know.

Admittedly, I can't speak to the quality of the case because while I tried to buy one, Treegloo isn't making good on their end of the deal. I ordered this case on 5/13. I received the email that it would take 2-4 weeks. Early June, I asked them for follow-up. They informed me it would ship the week of 6/10-614. I followed up. On 6/30 they replied to say it was complete and would be shipping out within the week. They asked me for my address (why?) and asked me if I wanted it to ship to Chicago. I said no and resent them the order slip which clearly stated California. I'm confused what's going on. Now I've been emailing them as I am approaching the 2 month + 1 week mark and no word from them. Sent my cancellation request today. Let's hope I don't have any problems with that.

I'm disappointed. It's more trouble than it's worth.

By the way... If you want a case for the iPad 3 from Treegloo, you should probably order it today.

I would just like to give the other posters an update on my replacement case. (or lack thereof)

I first contacted Treegloo on April 15, 2011 regarding a defect in my original case. They promptly replied to my complaint and promised a replacement would be shipped ASAP.

Today is July 19. Its been over 4 months now. 120+ days. I cannot imagine, under any circumstances, that a case would take this long to produce. I have never gotten such a run around in my life. I defended this company from the get go, and when another poster called them frauds or crooks I defended them. But I can't do that anymore. I have an e-mail chain thats as long as my arm asking for updates on my case. I have gotten the same reply each time "Your case will be shipped out this week. We are having issues with our new frames..."

Do I have a case of complaint with the BBB or am I SOL?

Have you asked them for a refund? Close to three months after my initial order (including one return of a defective case), I requested they cancel my order and refund my original purchase price plus money I laid out to return the first one. After about 4 days, they e-mailed me that they had refunded my money through paypal. If you haven't done so yet, give it a try.

So what are our alternatives now? Just Portenzo, Dodo, and Pad & Quill?

Apparently Portenzo sucks too. They are in the 9+ week shipping time group. And a lot of people have complained that their Portenzo arrived damaged or with shoddy workmanship. There are a few fanboys though.

I haven't read anything good or bad about a guy named Rook Case who sells through Etsy.

Le sigh. This is just disheartening.

Screw GOOBER According to Portenzo FB they are closer to the 4 week mark depending on what you order. Hopefully I will find my CUSTOM case at home when I get back in the country. I will post pics and my opinions when I get home.

4 weeks according to Portenzo, but 6 - 10.5 weeks according to actual customer reports on FB. Still better than Treegloo though.

That just means Portenzo is a lying company. No user has received their case in 4 weeks. And more than half of them that are received at damaged or poorly constructed.

Hi, Have they given you back your money? I've been requesting for a refund for about a week now and Treegloo hasn't replied to any of my emails. I don't know what to do.

After over 4 months or nagging Treegloo finally shipped out a replacement case. It should arrive over the next day or so.

Hopefully this one has no defects.

I am happy with my Treegloo case even with the slight defects and my replacement case will be here today.

It took 3 weeks to get the replacement but I did make some mods to the case (added the camera port, kinetic latch and changed the liner).

I hope that the new case has stronger bumpers to hold the iPad in more securely.

I'll try to post some pics this weekend.

I finally received my replacement case yesterday.

04/18/2011 - Date of first e-mail to Treegloo complaining about a defect in my original case. They promptly replied and said they would issue a new case.

08/03/2011 - Replacement case received.

The replacement case is perfect. It's what the first case should have been. And I wouldn't be upset at all if this had only taken a month or so (which I think is more than reasonable to issue a replacement product). The constant lying about when my replacement case would be shipped also really eats at me. At least have the courtesy to tell me that you are behind and it may be several months before you can issue me a replacement instead of telling me that my case would ship at the end of the week, which went on for 4 months.

I would not recommend Treegloo to anyone at this point. This is just my experience though.

I am very very happy with my replacement case.

I am unable to shake the iPad loose and it feels very secure.

Love the kinetic latch. Highly recommend it...

Was it worth the 3 month wait...? Not sure as I have no other similar case to compare it to. If you have time to wait I think it would be worth it but you must be patient. IMO customer service is great.

Same thing has happened to me. I am still waiting for my replacement case. and I order sometime in April. Likely for me I paid with my Amex through paypal, so I can dispute this charge and Amex will help me out. I just emailed treegloo and if I don't get a response I will post this horrible horrible experience and all the dialogue to go with it and get my money back.

My two cents...

I had similar issues with ther constant shipping delays and non-responsive customer support from Treegloo. It wasn't until I made a post about them (on this forum), and posted a link to that thread on the Treegloo facebook page that they gave me a refund.

With my refund money, I ordered a portenzo, and it was delivered yesterday. Less than four weeks since I placed the order.

YMMV, but for me: Portenzo > Treegloo

Treegloo case arrived!

Hi guys, I was happy that I finally got my case yesterday. It looks just the way I wanted it. My experience with treegloo was up and down. When I was ordering my case they helped me figure out which website I should look, to find my custom interior. They also edited out the picture and put my name inside the heart as I requested. The process of ordering was pretty smooth and treegloo was very helpful with customization. Now, the down side of my transaction was I have to wait more than 2 months (9 weeks) for my case. It was stated on their website that the wait time is about 2-4 weeks, so I waited 4 more weeks. Another, down side was they sent me false information when my case will be shipping, and it went one for 4 weeks. They even sent me a false fedex label, which I was pretty upset about. Yesterday,I received my case. The upside is it looks really pretty. I love the matte finish of the ebony frame, the soft feel of the exterior cover, and the custom liner of course. The downside is the ipad 2 does not fit at all; it's super loose that it would fall when i hold it vertically. It falls without and pressure applied on it. Another downside is the smartcover feature is not working properly due to the fact that the ipad is so flushed inside that the magnet can't hit the side of the ipad. I did notify treegloo about this. I'm not sure how they would fix this problem, but I'll keep you guys posted.

This is the youtube link of the video I made, in case you might want to check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bQY9sW5c9U

Also, any advice/suggestion will surely help and will be greatly appreciated thanks.

Thanks for your unboxing. I would recommend you pursue a replacement, it is clearly defective, the temperature shouldn't really effect the case all that much, to the extent that you have shown.

It's hard to see from the video but the ebony frame look's rough in the corners, you might post some photos if you get a chance.

Thank you king..yeah treegloo pipz saw the video and the cs person told me that the replacement case will get shipped out sept 8-12. Well based from my experience, i dont really trust the timeline that they give, so im really hoping they stick out with what they promised. For some reason i cant upload pics in here. I tried to before but it wont the pics wont upload.

I finally got my case.... After waiting for more than FOUR MONTHS!!
I ordered the case late April, right after I placed an order for my iPad 2. I expected a delay, but not for 4 months!

I emailed them nicely and asked politely about the status of my case, told them I'm hoping to get my case by certain date, etc. They replied promptly saying they would try their best to ship it by the stated date. After a few weeks. It was so long that I actually forgot that I still have a pending iPad case!

Email are sent back and forth and they finally gave me a Fedex tracking number. I was glad for a moment because I thought I would be receiving my case soon. But noo...... the case never made it to Fedex. This happened 3x. By this time, they were replying my email once/twice a week. It used to be a day or two at most. (No, I didn't bombard them with email everyday. I actually waited several days or a week before sending another email if I don't receive a reply. Although, after this experience, perhaps I should have.)

I've been waiting for so long that it'd be a waste to cancel the order. And besides, I really want the case!! After an angry email, they finally send my case.

Despite my rant, it's a really nice case. I'm really glad with how the case turned out. I picked a boring colour for my case... and if I can get over my annoyance with Treegloo, I'd certainly place another order from them. But for now... Nope.
