TrendForce: iPhone 13 Lineup Will Remain Limited to Maximum 512GB of Storage

12s/13 will be an incremental update with 120Hz as one of the main features. Smaller notch is good. Hoping there won’t be a price increase.

When people say 'make Face ID work with a face mask' it makes me laugh out loud, how exactly do you propose that would work? It's literally called Face ID, it needs your face..

I am not on the R&D team on Apple Inc. I was just speculating, it could use other traits to unlock the phone, I don’t know.

Anyways, I wasn’t stating anything, I don’t own the truth. You can laugh as much as you want, but you should chill out a bit. I’m detecting an unusual amount of rude comments here on MR lately... This is not political, we’re just talking about technology guys, relax...
 
The only thing I see as an upgrade is the slightly bigger battery. Everything else is so underwhelming from a regular 12...

It's probably going to be the iPhone 12S, I don't see any reason Apple would break with the tick / tock annual upgrade from new number, then S, new number, then S etc...

Especially with the current global chip shortage, and the fact it's like to only be a minor spec bump plus a few more colours, I don't see why they'd blow a whole new number on this year's minor upgrade.

I hate to break it to you but they broke that cycle four years ago

I agree with you it would be a waste of a new number just for a spec bump. However, based on the past iphones of S variants being completely identical in appearance to the previous iphone it replaced (e.g 6 and 6s or X and XS), the 2021 iphones will have a slightly altered lens array, so based on this it will probably be called Iphone 13, rather than 12S.
 
Shortest span for an update for me, while I love the form factor the battery on my 12 mini has been a disaster. I'm far from a heavy user and my phone cannot make it to 6pm with needing a charge, which is fairly quick, but still that stinks, I thought about a 12 pro max but I'll wait, I also briefly thought about a Samsung 21 ultra its a compelling phone
