OMG! I've been going back and forth on this since I bought my 6s+ on launch day. I absolutely LOVE the screen, but carrying it has been a major PITA. It's this constant bulky presence that's never out of my awareness. As opposed to my previous 6, which only came to mind when I wanted to use it.

On a positive note: I've rarely felt the need to carry my iPad Air 2 (except for work), which my shoulder greatly appreciates!

I imagine the coming cooler Fall weather will make jacket pockets an easier way to tote the 6s+, but I only have 5 days left to exchange it.

Does anyone know if Apple gives you another two week trial period on exchanged items?

I'm glad I'm not the only one in this dilemma. In summary, I absolutely love every aspect of the 5.5" screen with I'm interacting with the phone. It's simply beautiful. On the other hand, I absolutely hate carrying the large and heavy Plus phone in my pockets. I hate it more everyday.

As of the last couple of days, I have been leaning toward the smaller 6S. The bigger screen is a pleasure, but not a necessity. It is more important to have a phone that serves my needs and not requiring me to change my habits to adapt it.

I got the 6s plus and tried it out for a week. Truly awesome in terms of battery life. However I also got it because of better low light pictures due to OIS. That is...until I found this app called Cortex Camera. Let's me take noise/grain free pictures in the dark with my 6s. Also hyper lapse lets me record stabilized footage as well. Returned it. Glad I went back to 6s. I love the portability so much, especially for the gym/working out.

I was in this dilemma myself, i'm currently in the process of switching from my Galaxy Note 3 to the 6S as I wanted a smaller phone but couldn't find anything worthwhile not he Android side. I was going back and forth with various devices that were the same size as the 6S+ like the recently announced Nexus 6P, Moto X Pure, LG G4 etc., also taking the spec and costs into consideration. I realised that I just needed a smartphone around the 6S's size with good spec that could meet my needs.

Thanks for those app tips! Makes me more solid about my decision. I have a 6s reservation at the Apple Store this afternoon. Going to swap it out.

Was out today with my sister and had to use google maps to find a garden center. My phone was 60% and
I had hardly used it. After using google maps it was below 60. I'm seriously thinking of getting the plus again
just for the battery.

Yeah, the super battery life on the iPhone 6s Plus is well worth any size inconvenience. Though in all honesty I came back to iPhone from a Note 4 so the size thing isn't an issue at all, but everyone is different. Still I refuse to live or settle for the crappy battery that is in the 6s.

Good point about the battery, although it matters only to those that actually benefit from the additional battery juice on their typical days.

For me, and probably many others, the daily usage of the phone isn't heavy enough to drain the 6S battery. So having the extra battery capacity won't do us any good.

I do recognize the needs of additional battery life on special occasions, like weekends, vacations. But I could get by with an external battery pack. To me, the situation is like, not wanting to buy a minivan because of my in-laws who visit a few times a year. But everyone has different needs of course.

If you aren't really doing anything demanding, why not put the phone on lower power mode?

Extra battery capacity not doing you good because you're not a heavy user? I'm also not a heavy user and I'm glad that I only have to charge my phone every other day. Longer battery life is always a good thing.

Edit: What I wrote above is irrelevant, because I didn't understand the context of your comnent at first. Excuse me for that:oops:

Another issue I have is that pulling out the plus is almost a public event rather than a personal matter. The phone is so big that I feel like anyone near me can see what I'm doing.

This is where you lost me....do you really think every one is watching YOU? Wow... ok. Don't like the phone return it as you said you will...... not sure why you felt the world needed to know your feelings. Good luck.

Yeah, I commented on that. It's an extra step. A hassle. Not to create controversy, but I think long term huge phones will be seen as a fad.
A solution to your non problem yet it's too much of a "hassle"..... Keep thinking that about big phones..... you'll find out you're wrong.

That's how I see several features. Extra battery power is always nice, but if the 6s gets you through the day, the benefit could be minimal. The Plus isn't getting most people through 2 days so they'd still need to plug in at some point. OIS is always welcome, but will it make a difference for most in the real world? All of the 6s pics I've seen look fine...we all did manage to take phone pics before OIS hit the scene. The final difference is screen size and as several people have mentioned, that can be enough of a hindrance to negate extra battery life and OIS.

Of course not - but as others and I have mentioned, a very large phone makes us feel like others can easily see what we're doing. The percentage of people that actually care is undoubtedly very low, but that doesn't change the feeling. Isn't it ironic that you are confused by why I thought the world needed to know my opinion yet YOU are also giving your opinion - did the world really need to know your opinion about my opinion?;)

I'm not the only person who doesn't like reachability - calling it a "non-problem" is just your opinion.

Last year I went for the iPhone 6 from the iPhone 5 because the 6 plus seemed so HUGE of a jump.
I have small hands and short fingers. For a year now I've had plus envy every time I've seen one. I've handled them when I was near an Apple Store, or whenever I had a chance, and still thought that it seems big. It wasn't till shortly before launch that I realized Im using both hands most of the time I'm using my 6... And that was my main reason for not getting the plus!
I got the 6s plus 3 days ago and I love it!! Yup it's giant to me. I have a few good carry options while at work, and I'm finding most of my jacket pockets are big enough, and I have plenty of handbags for when thats the only option. Under the car seat will be a last resort, but it's not out of the question.
Yup..... Love it
Glad a made the leap, wished I'd done it a year ago

UPDATE: well I did it. I exchanged my 6S Plus for the 6s, and I couldn't be happier! welcome back one-handed use! And now I'm able to easily slide the phone into my pocket and carry it without feeling the extra bulge and weight. However, I do admit to missing the larger screen, especially when texting and using maps. But this was not enough for me to stay with the Big One.

Now, what I said above is in no way a criticism of anyone prefers the Plus. It is a great phone, just not for me. I've seen all the back-and-forth on this thread -- some of is getting just a little bit personal.

The iPhone is just a piece of electronics! Features that are critical for one person may not be very important to another (and vice versa). But that's ok -- to each his/her own.

I'm regretting my 6s purchase. The battery life is atrocious on this little phone. I'm going to the Apple store tomorrow to return it and hope they have a 6s+ in stock. If not, back to Nexus 6.

The size of your hand makes all the difference in the world. If your hand isn't large or medium -large the 6S+ becomes a challenge rather than a dream.
People with smaller hands need a 6S to efficiently and productively operate their iPhone.

I bough an iPhone 6S Plus last weekend and have been using it all week. I'm finding it cumbersome. It's wonderful when I'm lying in bed browsing tumblr or youtube, but when I take it anywhere it's too cumbersome. I use my phone one-handed much more than I realized, which I can't do with the plus. I realized a few days ago if I'm in bed on youtube or tumblr I may as well just use my iPad, the bigger phone doesn't actually do anything for me.

I also worry about dropping it. I did in fact drop it and scratched the edges a little bit which means I can't take it back - sigh. I'm trying to sell mine to buy a 6s. I'm really glad I tried the plus because I've wanted to for a while and now I know it doesn't work for me. Hopefully someone buys it off me for a reasonable price.

You might want to try and see if the store will let you switch it out for a 6s. Just tell them it's too big and causing you serious problems. Most of the time they just make sure it turns on. Heck, some have had their completely broken phones switched out for new ones.

Hmm ok, I'll give that a shot - thanks!

No....I don't every feel this way and honestly you're the first one I've seen say something as silly as this. I live my life not worrying about if others are watching me because my life is none of their concern. As far as offering an opinion.... the difference between us is I didn't feel the need to share a story about a phone I don't like..... I commented on the content of your thread..... I felt no need to open up my life to the world.... the very thing you say you didn't like about the 6s plus..... thats the true irony.
