hm...odd. does Apple even make cases anymore? just the SmartKeyboard and SmartCovers?
I love camera technology and could see where it may be useful in AR or again clinical professions, I personally, outside a few reference captures, really used the iPad camera purposefully.

Meh. Outside of the camera which most iPad owners don't care about the only improvements that will be made here are a minor speed bump.

Waste of money :( It just makes the iPad a lot more expensive for a feature I'll never use. Who really takes pics with their iPad?

I suppose it could be handy for AR but 1 camera is enough for that, and the resolution doesn't have to be higher than the screen.

And yeah OLED would be much more interesting for an upgrade. I have a Samsung Tab S with OLED. It's like 5 years old but I still use it to watch movies because the screen is just so amazing.

This doesn't make a whole lot of sense (regarding the iPad 10.2) - If its meant to be an entry level device why would it have a better camera than the iPad Air 3?

Why? Simply why ? We still have iPad Air 2 for years and years and the only time we used rear camera for FaceTime. Even for that we only use front one but sometimes to show something rear one is easier. I really don't think anybody cares about rear cameras on iPad.

When home the only device I use is the iPad, so using it for casual instant pictures is, well, inevitable. Casual pictures are all I take, btw but super duper quality for a premium price isn’t a must for me in an iPad or iPhone.

That's why Apple has the entry level iPad, or the 10.5" iPad Air. Most consumers are covered by these models. The iPad Pros have become their own category at this point.

Oh god, please no... Please make the rear camera pill-shaped so I can keep my Smart Keyboard Folio for the 2019 iPad Pro.

Not gonna lie, it has been extremely annoying that every generation of iPad Pro requires a new keyboard SKU to go with it (And that they get increasingly more expensive as time goes on.) With the 3rd generation, it makes sense because of the new body design...but 4th gen just changing the camera to make users buy new keyboards is pretty lame.

I use the camera on my iPad maybe once a month or so. To take a picture of a document or if I'm posting something on eBay. Otherwise...I don't need it. I know Apple is likely doing this for a big AR push, but there just hasn't been any game changing AR apps yet.

I will upgrade. I am happy with my current Pro, but the cost to upgrade will be minimal. I am hoping for a better smart keyboard case with a trackpad, but I may need to move to the 12.9 for that to become reality.

That makes perfect sense. My post was mainly directed at those who never take pictures with an iPad. I don’t know how they don’t, unless they rarely ever take pictures period. Sharing instant at-the-moment photos seem socially ingrained anymore.

Please stop taking pictures and videos with your tablet in public or events.

Interesting. I can't think of much to complain about if this proves accurate. Personally I have never once used the rear camera on any of my iPads, but the presence of a triple lens array wouldn't deter me from buying a new Pro. Nor would it encourage me to buy one, but it's not like Tim Cook would be knocking on my front door insisting that I take my credit card to the nearest Apple Store. I will upgrade my 10.5 Pro in due course, and when I do, it will have whatever camera it has.
