Funny, I like this series but have no interest in Twilight or some strange obsession with vampire stories. I love that it's about vampires in the real world... with CNN spokespeople and fighting for rights

I love the show, I'm glued to the TV every Sunday. I'm starting to hate sookie..shes becoming annoying and very confrontational...I wanted Bill maker to tear her apart last episode.
It seemed like Eric was into laff but it seems he's into Sookie....not good for Bill.

Sookie will probably live for quite a while... there's 8 or 9 books in her series and season 1 was only about book 1!
A few weeks ago, I saw the opening roll as part of (I think) Abduzeedo's daily inspiration posts....and that by itself hooked me. What a 1:30-long treat to open up a show each week! That said, I've only seen the first episode of the first season and quite enjoyed it. Off to Blockbuster...
I'm hoping that Bill will turn her, and it will combine her powers with vampire powers. That'd be cool.

My favorite character beyond a doubt is Eric. He makes the show. He is badass and hilarious. He seems to have a thing for Sookie from what I saw in the last episode. The reason why season 2 is better is because he is in it more.
True Blood is a good show but I wouldn't put it in the class of Mad Men, Breaking Bad and Dexter. IMO those are the three best shows on TV.

Pretty cool of HBO to do this. Forgot to mention along with Eric, Lafayette is also great. Those are the two interesting and dynamic personalities on the show.
I must check out this "Breaking Bad" as Dexter and Mad Men are like my favorite shows..

Does anyone else think that Jason Stackhouse will turn out to have special powers? He's obviously related to someone who does, and it seems like numerous, spiritually in-tuned people over the course of the past two seasons have told him that he's "special" in some way or other.
Maybe he has super-human strength, seeing as how he never gets beaten in a fist fight or athletic endeavor, and he's always a champ in the sack.

I don't see that happening, I think his character is great the way it is.
1. His stupidity is priceless, the perfect opposite to his sister
2. Not everyone in Bon Temps should be "special"... if that was the case, it wouldn't be nearly as attractive
3. The show needs a fearless human, much unlike the rest of the citizens of BT - adds to the excitement.
